I don't need to look for GOD, it's a waste of time.....

Hello Lotters, He's been here all this time. No one can prove it scientifically, even with the scriptures from different religions still doesn't add up. but am not saying he isn't real, but maybe he isn't the same level as ours that we don't see but feel him in a sense that it needs a prayer to do it.. A lot have been talking if GOD is just another Super Being form from another planet and the angels are actually super powered little green men but if that's the case then we had trouble understanding him. I know he's around here somewhere. but most popularly, he's in our hearts, where most of us decided to throw him away at a times of struggle or fame. as for me, i know he's around but am not active in talking to him the religious way.but prayers do

And why do say it's a waste of time... turning to God isn't a waste of time it's a precious moment turning to your maker and appreciate those things he has given you... He is always near you and always wants you to look to Him, and He loves to hear from you always...

Hello there, I guess you were SO IN A HURRY posting your response, you didn't read the entire discussion. that's your problem if you misunderstood it, how ever that is not what i meant. it was more like he's near here and don't have to search for him just like the unbeliever does or probably needs scientific proof.

No, you were the one in a little hurry...a lot of what you posted sounded like you left some of your thoughts out, or forgot to finish a thought. You were difficult to understand. We are not sure exactly what you believe.

Well, i understand that you were trying to say that if you have found out for yourself that God indeed exist you don't have to bother find Him anywhere i you discussion. I'm sorry if ever i sounded like i misunderstood your point of view, but i was just reacting of your title that it shouldn't be that way, but i guess your right that if you knew God exist so why find Him? But we still need to communicate with Him always as we need guidance in our daily life. =)

Hello 4mymak, That's exactly the POINT! why look for him when he's every where and if you put him in the center of your life, there's no point of looking at all. unless you wanted scientific evidence that he exist, which is something completely absurd from the start.. i am glad some one got the point.

in Angels & Demons, a Catholic priest asked Professor Langdon (Tom Hanks) whether he believes in God. The professor replied, "Faith is a gift that has not yet been given to me."

You got some really good inspiring replies here letran, so my reply may sound a little dull. I know He is around, yet it has been too long since I felt His presence. I know it is probably due to my bust schedule, not making time for Him and my heart failing due to no fellowship in this dry county. This is why I hope that I can either sell this book or get a job, so I can be other believers. Not that I can't on my own, but years without another living person to be in agreement with me, makes for a stagnant relationship..Then again I do get the battles, like my sister once again attacked me the other day for my faith..(Personally, I think she is anti-semitic like most people around me.. ) Or she is just down right jealous of me because though she is many years older, she is practically clueless to G♥d's commandments, only picking out what suits her..

Hello Carmela, Thanks for dropping by even though i haven't responded to your topics lately. we all have our battles though, we have a will to decide our fate and not let others criticism let us down since it's our own life after all and things went good on some people who choose to move on

That's okay letran, I know you are busy, I don't expect everyone to comment on my post all the time, just occasionally... Yes we do have battles and I was very worn out by Saturday morning. I mean I didn't see my sisters attack coming at all, in fact we were talking about her low life son in law, (her words not mine) when she outright attacked me..Maybe because I was trying to not get into a "gossip put down chat" maybe I said the wrong thing, I was just trying to understand both sides even though I was hearing only one side...

I know i know what you Letran, we are on the same wavelength with this one, i also do not look for HIM, i just know HE is somewhere.. I am not into religious stuff as well, i do not go to church and kneel to the altar.. but i pray and i believe that is enough.

At Visavis, Letran is right, there is difference between believing and looking. I believe in HIM and i know HE exists, somewhere but i do not have to LOOK for him because i already know HE is there. Looking entails questions, looking means i am still searching for HIM, which i am not coz i already know HE is with me. At Letran, yes there are those in religious organizations who are the biggest gossip you will ever know in your life! that is why i despise such organizations

Hello Jazel, That's true, i have been hearing members of a church organization that my mom joined in reluctantly. and all i hear after the bible study is nothing more than rumors or gossips about organizations this and that. some people who go to church doesn't do what the bible nor god teaches, and i have seen this in many occasions. Visavis, there's a difference between looking and simply believing he exist and doesn't have to look.see you later

Hi jazel, I little bit confuse about you said, you do not look for Him (God) but you said you are praying and believed to Him, how comes it is. When you are praying you talking to God right, so what kind of prayer you have since you do not looking for Him. would you clarify this to me... se eyou around

It is not appropraite to say waste of time for needing God. Your believing in "see is to believe" which is not applicable in faith. You cannot see God because He is spirit and nobody seen or saw God. You can see God to His creatures that He manifested in like air, sun, moon and things on earth created by god... He is OMNIPOTENT, OMNISCIENT and OMNIPRESENT but you cannot see.... always science not believing God because as I said at at the start... see you around

Is anybody interested in proves of existing GOD? No bad I prepare for this because when I am 15-20 years I belive that God is alien an extra-terrestrial.Today I believe that many peoples search an explication who is an expression him personality. At level of mind God speak through conscience and he send we many thought. So He offer new motivation to search and He discover in many ways in our life.It seem that GOD no loose time with us!God love all people and sustain life anywhere.

Hello Visavis, Not reading the discussion much too, huh? I didn't say Waste of TIme "not needing" but "Looking for him is waste of time" and based on the discussion i said he can be in our hearts if we want him in our lives, like all other people do. science is usually the ones who tried to prove god in science terms which is impossible

i disagree, someone already saw God, and i'll tell you the story of how i know if you're from my country and you believe in pyschics or people who can see the future... i know probably no one will believe me, but im writing this for those people who maybe are wavering in their faith... God can choose the person who he wants to talk to or be seen... a person with a pure heart and high energetic vibration... i was an atheist before and i don't believe something that i have not seen personally... but ever since seeing my own future in my own dreams, i believe in psychics... and the psychic i know have helped me and my mom several times... i have not yet developed my skills in it, but i believe all of us have this ability, we just have to harness it... she (psychic) said there is a heaven and hell, and i choose to believe that, although i have yet to prove it... well, we will all know who's wrong or right when we die.. i am far from having a pure heart, i am full of hatred and anger, but she's full of forgiveness and no anger or hatred... i am still learning how to forgive and let go of anger and that's what im praying for now... imagine if all people here are full of love and forgiveness then it will really be paradise, but i, as a human being know how difficult it is to forgive... and im not saying that she's the only one that God chose to be seen but probably there are others in the world.... if you want you can pray to meet someone like her but before you can do that, maybe harness your sixth sense first so you can tell who's fraud or not... out of maybe around 10 psychics i know, i only believe one, her

""And when My servants ask you (O Muhammad concerning Me, then answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright" Al Quran : Chapter 2- Verse 186

Hi LK! The title of your topic has a double meaning and perhaps others might misunderstood you with it. Although, I understand what you mean, looking for God is a waste of time, in a way it really is a waste of time because His existence is debatable. Non-believers do want a proof in flesh. It is a waste of time because the battle or debate does not end. On the other hand, seeking for God is never a waste of time. As you say, He stays present in our hearts.
• Philippines
21 Feb 11
Hello Maean_19, That depends on how the person misinterprets it, but i guess it does to some people that we know. yeah, it's a completely useless debate since we ourselves who believe didn't even see him in the flesh too. seeking probably doesn't have to be literally LOOKing around. have a nice day

People are busy either proving or disproving God. Well as for me I need not find more evidences to prove God because I know there is God and I believe in Him with all my heart and soul. It takes just plain and simple faith to believe His existence. I am glad I have that faith so that I need not be tired or preoccupied in looking for God the way the world does. It is sufficient that I believe that there is God and He is living in my soul. Yes indeed God is alive and I just talked to Him today.

Your comments are interesting! Could it be like the the proverbial "half-full, half-empty glass" argument? Is the glass half-full or half-empty? That at this time, we can see what we want to see and argue what we want to argue and it will look as we are all right? But one of theses days, it will become very clear as to which argument is the correct one. I think, things are heating up. We are living at a pivotal point in human history with some world-shaking events about to be unleashed. Life, history and the future is about to be changed!

23 Feb 11
Hello Hopefulman, I seriously don't prefer arguing when it comes to GOD, or religion since the point of this discussion is to look about GOD inside him. as of these moment, we should look into ourselves instead of just looking up for everything about GOD through tangible means or usual scientific means

Hi LetranKnight25!!! Somewhere I had read a line "I don't know what the God is, but I am sure what he is not.". I am very much touched by this statement. Many people make their own definition of God and because of this it makes more more confusions and misunderstandings. And many things times, the thoughts conflicts each other. You and I haven't seen God, so its the stupid thing to be 100 percent sure in one's opinion and fight to prove the statement correct. Its just the stupidity. I liked your statement saying that you don't need to be religious to pray the god. I am in some sort of common feeling like you. When we are in struggle, the word god may being relief in us and that is good part of the word God as defined by the world. I prefer to be spiritual than being religious. Being spiritual widens the horizon understanding things, while the religions only keep us constricted towards the written words. It doesn't mean that written words are totally wrong, but they need to be thought and realized.... If God is love, get aligned with the love inside you. Be aligned with the love and peace inside you, and feel the presence of god in it. May be you can find the God within yourself...Happy mylotting...

Hello Nzalheart, I have seen a lot of religious people ended up being hypocrite and make a quick judge on people with knowing the real situation.I believe doing the practical application on the things taught to you in the religion is the real challenge. I am Christian by Baptism of being a Catholic but being ONE is simply not that easy, as every Catholic Christian does. For now, am not that much of doubt but I have some ill feelings with the life that I experience but thankful still that I didn't experience the problems of others.

To me prayer is a waste of time. If God wants to help me he can do it without pray. When i was grwoing up I was told to believe God knows what you are thinking. In some ways I still feel like he is. If he is why bother praying? It is a waste of time! When God is not in arrogant mood,he'll help us!
• Philippines
22 Feb 11
Hello Bluepacker, But I think God has emotions too and do go to your attention when you simply asked him. And besides, it can be very frustrating if you don't pray for a long time and all of a sudden gets truly frustrated with life of depression. I know, I haven't been to church that much though but I think god is there and depression is what really keeps me from going on moving.

Looking for God or praying for God is not necessary. God is looking out for those kiddies anyway. Why did I look and search for God??? I found so much of religion simply isn't true. I went in search for God to discover the real truth. Now that I found God, why do I stay around Him?? Simply, if you hang around the Most Intelligent, some of it is bound to rub off on you.
• Philippines
22 Feb 11
Hello Bird123, I don't know what to say really on your response but staying around him is the best thing since he did create us and knows the right path that we should take. It maybe some religious thing, but for others who made their decision with out having faith, things went horribly wrong to them. In your case, God is not the problem but religion that you joined in.

hello LK, Talking about faith/religion and about our individual GOD (depends on our belief) doesn't matter. It is how we the way we walk our lives, how GOD manifests in us.(that is enough to explain what kind of GOD you/me/they worship) Now you are talking dear bro
• Philippines
21 Feb 11
Hello Sis Jaiho, yeah, why bother talking about it too much when we can search for it inside us and not always look on the verses. it's how we define god in our own ways that mattered instead of just depending on the teaching that causes more debate in such manner.

Question of HOW Scientist can't prove the God exist because they are not being a good scientist the good and brilliant scientist knows their limits of knowledge and they knows the answer of these question. how the car would be build without engineer? how the building stand steady without architect? how the child learn to write without teacher to guide him? how the world created without the creator? my friends, remember were they created of noting, or were they themselves the creators? or did they create the heavens and the earth? surely, they have no firm belief. or are treasures of your Lord with them, or have they control over them? so? who are you? who has created you, who has created this perfect body of mine? who has created this great order which surrounds me? what does he, who created everything, want from me? what does he want to show me? if could answer these question, you are great..

Science is only a theory, friend. But God, existence is real. Most of the scientist did not believe in God. That is why there is no scientific basis about God. But if you really believe in science you can say that God is real... Look at you. Who made you and give you breath. Look at the skies and ocean. Don't tell me they are all man made? If you prove also that those things are man made. I will be in your side. But if you don't prove it...I oppose your you belief

I think you should think deeper. God is sublime and not a creature. But he is the creator. All you see hear and feel is from God.
