I have osteoarthritis and it is most painful. I take medication daily and my activity is limited. When the pain gets too bad I must go to bed and let everything just rest. I was born with a curvature of the spine and as I've aged this has led to increased pain as well with low back pain. I don't seem to have that pain when sitting but I can't stand for any length of time. I had to have 2 hip replacements beacsuse of the arthritis and the surgeries left me with one leg a fourth of an inch shorter than the other. That contributes to pain. I'm looking at two more surgeries on my neck because of the arthritis and ruptured discs. So yes, it is a big problem for me.

I had surgery on my spinal cord in 2006. Since then, I suffer arthritis like pain in my back, hip, leg, knee and ankle on the left side. It is caused from swelling and nerve compression in my spine. However, the doctors have told us that the pain is the same as those with arthritis because the swelling is putting undo pressure on the joints and nerves.
It is painful. I take an anti-inflammatory twice a day. Two or three times a year, I have to go on a steroid pack. I also have pain mediciation that I take 3 times a day...4 if the pain is really bad on a cold or rainy day.
