Migrate to which country?

Singapore

Coming from a third world country. We all aspire to migrate to either Australia or New Zealand. But with the floods and earthquake that these 2 countries experience, I'm having second thought whether I will stay where I am now as Singapore Expat or still continue my dream to migrate to this kangaroo country or these Lord of the Rings. Anyway for you guys any specific country to migrate and why?

I haven't thought of that. Aside from the higher places is there any other good things in India? What about the political system? or let say education system? Taxation?

I love Beijing but I have horrible experiences there, we waited 4 hours not able to take of the runway of the airport just because their king arrived. But of most my stay there was great, because you will be rich a guarantee, it would be the empire of wealth. We bought several stuffs for the office and have multiple contracts with other suppliers. They can produce all sorts of quality, just name your price. Vegetables of China is so perfect, economy, money, your job as an IT will be useful there but they have this preference for their natives I swear, market, banks, but even if they are ready for foreigners... they still won't respect you if you are not fluent with their languages.

Hi, can i ask where you from before? what about working and living in China. I think for mainland China the cost of living is too high. I also remember the Beijing Olympic the sky is so dark and the air is too polluted. There are some athletes who even requested to be exempted from some events specially the track and field because of this. can you please enlighten me on those issues - health issues.

New Zealand - relaxing and the best place ever, thats what I think..
Hi there, I live in the Philippines, I have always planned to migrate in New Zealand, because I have been there, yes the tragic earthquake in CTB makes me sad, but life is unpredictable.. nothing is safe in this world, I personally love that place no matter hwat happens. They have'nt have any disaster for 80 years but now.. so I pray all survivors will be taken out in time and I pray for those who have past away. I love the dairy products of NZ, they have the best ice cream ever.. like hundreds of flavor, I love the rhum and raisins :) cost of living is very reasonable that's why I still want to live there :)

In case of New Zealand what city is the best? I'm working as an IT Professional so one of my criteria also is that my destination should give me a nice job and pay as well. :)

Personally speaking, I used to regard USA or Canada as ideal places to live. I believe that many people have the same thought as me. But in reality, migrating to another country means you have to sacrifice a lot of things. You have to readapt yourself to the new environment, which is not easy for someone who come from a country which has a different culture.

Hi Simon, mind if I ask where do you live now? Well for our case I actually lived in the Philippines but we are now a permanent residence in Singapore. Adapting to their culture is a breeze only problem is can't bargain with them since I don't speak chinese (specially in the market). Good thing here though is that they don't have any racial discrimination but make sure to do your job on time. I have heard from many that living in Australia or NZ is not really fast pace. I mean no overtime and no assignment during the weekends for kids. One more thing the education system is subsidies by the government.

I want to migrate to China. It is the fastest growing in the economy today, the second largest economy in the world next to U.S., and soon will replace U.S. as the world largest economy. It's the next frontier, and I am interested in becoming a rich their as an immigrant. Would you like to join me there?

Pretty interesting. But China is a communist country I'm not really into politics though I don't know how they run China now. But just a month ago I believe there is this factory worker from a provincial China that burns himself because of poor working conditions. I want to be rich also but I hope not to the extent that I will kill myself either :)

I come from a developed country in Europe. I wanted to emigrate to Australia when I was in my twenties but it never happened. I believe that I did the right thing staying in my home country because it is useful for traveling. We have cheap flights and traveling by plane is easy to afford. I was told by some Brits that had emigrated to New Zealand when they arrived they felt rich but five years later they couldn't even afford to come to the UK for a holiday. They found local wages there lower than they had when they were in the UK. The earthquake in Christchurch was horrible so were the floods in Rockhampton. Now I have a disabled child I am likely to stay in my home country because the National Health Scheme is free. Every year I go off traveling to a different place in the world.

According to economist China will be 1st in year 2025. WOW. But before China where do you live? Currently me and my family are staying in Singapore. This is a good country also but the cost of living is so high. Its very hard to get own flat because its so expensive.
