Do you remember everything about your baby?

Since I have my son, my memory is not as good as it used to be. My husband calls it mama brain He is getting big so quick... it feels like he was just born yesterday, I really don't want to forget anything about my baby later... I'm making a baby book that records all these things:the first time he does this and that; when he started smiling; when he started screaming etc... Do you still remember things with your baby now?

My son is already 9 yrs old. I am sorry but not everything that I could remember of him, because I did not take care of him. I was away taking and pursuing my dream for us. Its my mom who took care of him, so its my mom who remembers it all but i guess not all. Just some memorable things.

If only I have a choice I would have really likes to stay with my baby. But since I am single parent I need to work to support our needs and who else would do to support for the needs of our family, its only me so I have no choice but to leave him with my parents.

That's sad :-( I hope you get to have more time with your child when you are out of work.

No I don't remember everything. I have baby books but I have written very little in them. But I also have to keep them out of the reach of the kids or there will not be a book to look at if you catch my jist. I like to call it pg brain. Many days I don't think it ever left.... I can't remember some times what I was doing 10 minutes ago because the kids ask me a million things all at once and I take the most important task first and the others get put on the back burner hoping I remember to do them.

I was thinking that my memory is getting worse so I should write down everything in his book so it will remind me in the future.

That is just like me. I find myself going into a room for something and realise I have completely forgotten what I'm supposed to do!! Same thing with me with the baby book. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I felt so guilty not writing everything down. Now I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Thanks for sharing that.

Honestly, i do not. When i had my daughter it was not exactly all pleasant experience because i had her too early in life and almost everyone i love hates me that time. lol but i did take pictures of her and all those memories are preserved in those memories but her baby pictures are the fewest since i do not own a cam back then. with the two boys i had loads of pictures of them and even till now i do take pictures of the three of them, memories are preserved through those pictures and even though i might not remember all but if i glance at those pics memories do rush back

Hi, My son has reached 4 years old now and certain things I still can remember, but not all the things throughout this growing up life. That is why I jotted down in my blog on certain things that i found interesting on my son's growing up process. So in future, we can simply have a look on it. The most important is taking some pictures as memories throughout his growing up process which I am doing so.

Off of the top of my mind there are a lot of things that I don't remember about my children when they were very small, they are four and eight years old now. However, I do remember some other things. That is actually the reason that I'm creating scrapbooks for them because that way when they ask me questions later I'll be able to pull those out and we can talk about that thing and we will be able to look through other memories from their childhood as well.

I remember general things. I know approximately how old they were when they started walking, babbling, stuff like that. I never kept baby books or anything like that. Guess I wasn't extremely organized like most parents! At least I have plenty of pictures.

I don't remember everything but then I don't think I want to. Like when he did big job all over the place. My Mom had a book for my sister when she had me it had a copuple of things in it but other wise nope. She had to babies to take care of and no time to write in a book. I just laughed and said I don't want to do a baby book. I worked 10 hours a day plus took care of him and had to take his Dad to work.

Hey mermaidivy, My children are in their twenties now, and I do not remember everything they did when they were little, but the time I spent with them is there in emotions and love. But here is one little bandaid - when I see other babies I remember mine again. So I think that we just have to have a little help to get the wonders of their childhood out again.- Enjoy every minute with them and don't worry too much about the memory.

My son is already 8 years old but I journaled a lot about him. All of the funny noises or things he would say. We know have 3 year old and I guess because she is our second; I haven't written so much about her as yet. Not enough time, she's our little spirited one!!
