Hello Lotters,
I am not sure what are you're views about these recent protest with violence that's been happening in different countries in the Middle East, but sure it's affecting a lot of people. despite some of my people saying that this was an imitation of my country's People Power, but this was done by one country at first, and all of a sudden Dominoes started dropping and other countries followed.
The bad side is that it's affecting Tourist and other Foreign workers who are working in these troubled countries now, which is something we didn't expect. probably one of the most affected ones were also my people, some can't get out, and some are loosing their supplies.
Worst is that Prices of Oil could go up because of the crisis. I hope it lessens and becomes over soon, who knows what's gonna happen there next.

Yes it is indeed affecting us for obvious reasons. They do supply the world with oil so with the violence going on ...oil price will rise again. And our OFW's there should be repatriated lest they can't go home alive anymore. I can imagine how troubled their loved ones here. So the government should be fast in helping them get back home.

That is why that part of the region is really a very critical part of our economy because we all rely on Black Gold. Many are aspiring to control that region of the world and now that people are starting to realize this they become more aggressive since most of these countries are controlled by a few elitist in their country. As their nation gains wealth people realized that those in power are really the ones that amassing wealth so they start to rebel against their leader.
We on the other hand, since we rely on them in terms of labor and oil we are affected as well. Even the superpowers are bidding to take influence in what is happening with this country since they know if they control this part of the region they would also benefit their economy as well.

I don't know what happen to the world today. Peace now is impossible to attain. Instead of attaining peace war come everywhere. I am worried also because most of Middle East countries reigned by King and Sheik. I don't know if Saudi Arabia will do the same like Libya, Bahrain, Tunisia and Egypt. I hope it won't happen here because if that will happen whole world will suffer.

It is true. I just hope it wont turn into a real war. The demostration suddenly spread around the Middle East. Not just affected the tourism, also some historical building or the museums. And the governments of different places have to evacuate their nationals.

I am not very particular about the oil price increase brought by what's happening at some Middle East countries. I am more worried of my fellow Filipinos who are trapped in the middle of that situation. Everyday it has been the topic of the news here in our country and you can see their relatives crying for help as to the whereabouts of their family members who are working in Libya and Bahrain and also those nurses that are trapped in the building that collapsed due to the earthquake in New Zealand. I fell for them and all that we can do is to pray for their safety and hope that their are safe and alive.

If a terrible situation affects one country in the world affects of it can usually be seen in other countries. Trouble started in Egypt and the some of the other Islamic Countries went into fighting. I was shocked to hear about the foreign workers stuck in Libya. These countries will lose tourism and tourists that bring revenue. It is likely more countries will begin violence on the streets. The innocent people left in these countries might become illegal migrants or asylum seekers. When there is a civil war then many people get hurt or killed. The price of oil is very likely to go up. People in these countries are not likely to get all the supplies necessary into their countries. This might lead to wide spread hunger. With all the foreign workers going back to their home countries might have the affect many businesses end up closing. The longer the violence goes on then the worse the situation will get. After a war ends it takes time for the tourists to return in the case of a popular destination like Egypt.

The domino effect will go on but unfortunately, it is unlikely that the uprisings in these countries will lead to democracies. Dictators have such a control over countries, that there is a huge void when one is toppled. The most organized force will be the one that steps into that void. The most organized is usually the best-funded and those are the most radical as well. The average person will have no more say or power than he had before the revolution. It may be less.

Gas has gone up already here. Ten cents in one day. IF they are really wanting democracy this can be a good thing. I will reserve judgment on what is really going on. If the Muslim Brotherhood is behind the protests that occurred in Egypt like I've seen reported I fear that this is just a way for the radicals to gain power covertly. We will see.

The price of oil is the least of the worries for me yeah they will rise but theres people with lives at stake and you've labelled oil as the worst part. I also believe any intervention from any country will be based on oil just many previous invasions have been based on albeit very quietly. Yeah I've been left a bit confused with the uprisings/protests in the Middle East the way they just turned into a domino effect is crazy. I do hope they all solve their problems so people can stop worrying over the safety.
