I just saved almost 40 dollars yesterday by collecting coupons here and there. We went to do grocery shopping yesterday at Bjs, it costs 120 dollars originally but I was albe to make it down to 80 dollars, I was so happy with that!! So bascially we got the box of diaper for free
Unfortunately, some of the store let you use more than 1 manufacture but some doesn't. The cashier told me yesterday she let me use more than 1 because the paper towel and puffs that I bought was individually wrapped.
So how much did you save the last time when you do shopping on anything with coupons?

I cut most of the coupons from the newspaper, and I receive coupons from the mail or sometimes they attach coupons in the diaper box etc.

now you got me jealous.
I don't think we have a coupon here in India. Some of the big chain stores do discounted items on some days. I know one Big Bazaar do Wednesday - Bargain Day thing, I'm not even sure that is every week.
I'm so happy for you, saving $40.
Psst: So what treat are you going to buy for yourself from the $40 you've saved from Grocery???

I buy generic brands, which are cheaper.. so I don't need coupons. I'd spend more if I used coupons.. so I'm saving more money than coupon users. Plus I don't have to buy the paper in order to have coupons!

I shop regularly at walmart for a few things and mainly at sams club. Buying in bulk is real saving even without coupons. For example i love cheetos. A family size bag of cheetos is around $4.99. I go to sams club and get 2 family size bags for $5.59. Huge savings. Tomato paste. At walmart each can great value is .60 each. At sams i bought a case of 12. Dividing the price of the case per can was about .38 each can. So i dont have to buy it for about 3 months now. There were some deal where buy great value at walmart was abetter choice. Im so glad cell phones have calulators.

I use coupons but I never save that much. I usually only save a few dollars. I don't understand how the people they show going in and buying tons of groceries for a few dollars do it. there must be some trick to it that I'm missing. i guess if you only buy stuff that you have coupons for. I wish stuff didn't cost so much, it's getting rough.

I think in order to do, you just need to keep an eye for the coupons, I collect them from newspaper, magazines, mails etc.

I love shopping with coupons. In my opinion, it's the only way to shop! I do really well at a particular grocery store with manuf. coupons. They double $1 coupons which helps out a lot. I typically save between 70 and 75% . It's unreal but really helps us through!! I also enjoy using coupons when shopping for clothes or for meals out. LOVE coupons! I'm quite the bargain hunter!

Way to go I have not used coupons in a while I always cut them out but I always forget them when I go to the store, I have been getting things from the Aldi's and the Dollar Stores lately and sometimes Wal Mart too, and when Kroger has a sale I will go there. I need to remember to take my coupons from now on!! Sounds like you did some pretty good savings there!

Hello mermaid,
you should be, forty dollars is not something that you can easily save.that amount is big here and unfortunately, i couldn't even afford to save as many as 20 dollars max. i haven't been saving money lately unless it's online. otherwise, once in my hands, then there's no turning back.

Congratulations! It's always good to be able to make the best out of a deal. Unfortunately for us, coupons are rarely heard in our side of the world. However, we do have sales promos like buy-one, take-one, or % off or get a different item free when you purchase this item. That sort of stuff. I try to avail of these promotions as they are very practicable.

Oh gosh yes I like using coupons especially for important things I need. You did an exactly smart shopping deal as $40 for diapers is not cheap so to virtually get then free after clipping the coupons, makes you a very smart shopper.
Wow, keep it up as I do to, but nothing like you but I will start looking out more because why give away for free our hard earned money.

That's good. I rarely use coupons because they are usually for products I don't use. I save money just by buying thing on sale and using generic brands. I go online and look at the circulars to see what's on sale for the week and plan my meals that way.
