Do you read the actual book, or prefer it reading on an ebook reader?

Until i used my mothers for the first time i would have said the hard cover book. But it really is an innovation in reading, compatability and huge storage, great piece of technology. My mother has even contacted me on facebook viz her kindle, which surprised me further. I also love the information that pops up when it's not being used. Photos of famous genusis such as Albert Einstein.

I have stuck to normal books. Ebooks do look cool, and I feel like they may have some reasons to get one, like saving trees, and maybe money in the long term, but I also like the feeling of an actual book. Just my two cents. Happy mylotting and all the best to you!

As I love reading, I also would try on an ereader, but I rather prefer traditional books.

Me too. I get eyes strains whenever i read it on Ebook. I think it is better to read a book. I can't access the eBook without internet and electricity. At least with a book I can read it anytime anywhere. Unless of course if it is dark.lol

Hi. kimikohime. I prefer to read the book more. I can understand the words better. It is easy for me to. Being that I wear eyeglasses, reading a book can help me out more. Just having the book in my hand, makes it very easy for me to read every word in the book.

I hate ebooks and I hate ereaders even more. So nope... it's physical copies of actual paper books for me! I just feel like books and technology shouldn't go together. I don't want someone squashing my whole library into some clunky electronic tablet. I want bookshelves full of real books. I don't want to take my whole library with me on a tablet if it means my library is nothing more than a digital file on a hard-drive. I like books! I like pages! I like the feel of them and the look of them. I like carrying a hard-cover book with me while I go places. I wouldn't trade a single paper-back of my book collection for an ereader with all the books in the world on it.

Its funny this question should come up. I was interested in buying a kindle. But recently I brought a netbook and don't find it appealing to read alot of words on screen for a long period of time. Its nothing like acutally flipping the pages of a good book. Happy reading, whatever method yawl chose.

Not the biggest fan in the world of e-books. I'm too much of a traditionalist. I like my books to be actually physical and in my hands. Well at least when I am reading for leisure and for pleasure. For my schoolbooks, they should really be e books, as they are something that allows me to look up information that is much quicker than usual.
Still when I ready for pleasure, there is nothing that really beats a nice, solid book in my hand. Therefore, it is a great experience to say the least. There will never be nothing that beats the feeling of having a book in my hand, to lie in bed at night, with the covers pulled back, as I am relaxed and ready to say the very least. So physical books are the best.

For me, I like both. When I am home or at the office, I like reading actual books. I think paper books look friendly feel that way, too. I can easily mark the parts I like and make notes very conveniently. However, switch to outdoors, I can't take the books I love with me, because it would be so inconvenient. Then, comes the ebooks. I can take all the books I like with me with an ebook reader. I can read ebooks on a bus, when I'm waiting someone, even when I'm in the WC, LOL. So, I like them both.

I prefer the actual physical book if possible, because I like having a hard copy in case the ebook gets deleted or something.

I received a Kindle for Christmas, and I have to say I absolutely love it. I'm a huge book fan and my collection had grown somewhat unwieldy. Living in a small apartment that was a problem. I love the idea that I can store my entire library in one place, and I haven't really noticed much difference between reading on the Kindle versus the actual book. Also, the ebooks cost less.

I always try to read the actual book at first. As i think in actual the things are more describe and i can gain more knowledge from it. So i always prefer actual book not any e book.
Have a good day!

Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer real books from an e-reader. My friend and I recently had a conversation about this and we were discussing the advantages of buying a Kindle. Although there's a huge advantage to having your whole library within your reach, there's still something to be said about the weight and feel of an actual book in your hands, and the smell of the pages of an old favorite when you decide to reread it.
Maybe I'll change my mind in the future, but for now, I'm happy with my books. I don't think I'll buy a Kindle any time soon, not unless they burn all the books in the world.

I would always give the first preference to the actual book.Reading a novel curled on the bed is is altogether different enjoyment. However if I am so much desperate about any partular book and cant find the hard copy I wont mind to go for the ebook. The problem with the ebook is it needs much more patience to completely read out a book on asystem without filling drained.A book reading is worth only if it gives your mind some relaxation,so sometimes an ebook completely nullifies this aspect.Besides there is the concern of the readers eyes getting damaged too.
