I actually had a pretty awesome day in school today. I had a real good time with my friends and everything was cool. But then i came back home and I read an article written by a son to his mother. While reading it tears started flowing from my eyes. The article was a bit sad but nothing that would make me cry. I am surprised at myself actually, coz i don't cry often. I don't know if i should blame the weather.

Yes, I have been very sad starting March 1, 2011. That was the day when my laptop got stolen. My father had bought it for me in January. I felt really sad and cried hard because my father bought it for me just to make me happy because we haven't been in good terms lately. My room (in the boarding house) was broken into by a thief. And the sad part was that one of our house mates saw the thief but she had no idea he was already stealing stuff because she thought he was my sister's boyfriend. My sister's room was also broken into but thankfully nothing was stolen because she was asleep at that time. It was around 9 am when it happened. It was broad daylight :( who would've known that thieves even had the guts to steal in the morning. I was at the office at that time. And I only knew about it when my sister called me around almost 10 am, just a few minutes after the breaking in.

Thank you. Yes, I did report it to the police. One of our house mates called them around 10 am, just a few minutes after the breaking in. I excused myself from work since our manager noticed I was in panic. I told her my laptop just got stolen and she was kind enough to let me go. Here in the Philippines, it's very very difficult to get back the valuable things stolen from you because as soon as it's stolen, the thieves would've already sold it.

Feelings of sadness is always there in me, but I do not want to dissolve in sadness, I want to fill my life with joy, and smiles. Already for 5 years I grieve, I do not want to go back to waste my life with sorrow. I should be happy whatever happens. If to be sad, I hope that does not require a long time.

hello there thatgirl13!
well i have sad since this past 3 days but i guess with the help of my friends, every pain and hurt i am feeling now are going away. i just hate it when i am alone because i tend to think think and think more about what is happening to me.. i always question myself how could i allow myself to repeatedly happen to with the same problem. but i know, i do believe that everything shall pass.. everything will be back to normal and in accordance to God's will. all i need is some rest and find time to love myself again just as how i did during the year 2010... i guess that year has been the worst day of my life..
hoping that this march, i am very much willing to change everything in the right and meaningful way. all i need is to start loving myself again.
sigh...
it would take me time to write everything out here regarding the reason why i am feeling sad today.. but to cut my post short, all i want is happiness. that's it.
thank you for taking to read this!
God bless and Happy mylotting!

I'm not feeling particularly sad, although a little bit down maybe. It's very windy weather right now over here, dull and cloudy, and I really want to be to get out but it feels a bit cold. I hope you're not feeling so sad now that you're here on Mylot!

It might be because of the high and low moods experienced on the same day. You had a pretty good day and then coming home and reading a sad book would have been too much for you. I don't know, it is just my opinion. I am not sad today and not most of the time. But I am not very happy most of the time either. I am a stay at home mom so my whole time is spent with doing chores and taking care of my 3 year old daughter.

I meant to say that I am not very excited all the time either. It is just normal routine work and there is just contentment in that and not 'shouting at the top of my voice' kind of excitement. If you know what I mean.

I think it must feel really great being a mom. I would like to experience the feeling soon too =) And about me, well i think it was the weather coz lately the weather has been really crappy. It's so cold it makes me mad.
Anyway thanks for the response. Have a good day..

I wasn't sad yesterday. In fact I had two pieces of very good news so I was very happy! Sometimes reading articles will have a profound effect on an individual. It's ok! Sometimes a person needs a good cry. It doesn't necessarily mean you're sad, just that something was an emotional read. That happens sometimes. Have a great day!

Well many factors could contribute to one's sadness (like as what you said, the weather, or even the people and the happenings around you), but in the end the person has the control over everything so I believe sadness is a state of the mind one can choose to have or not to have. It is okay to cry over sad articles or sad movies but that does not mean one has to be sad the whole day through just because of that. Every one can put up a happy disposition for has long as he has the will to do it. However there are some heartbreaking circumstances that will make one really sad and I believe in those cases it is always okay to be sad provided the positive attitude still remains.

NO actually, i'm with my parents right now so i don't miss them :D I used to miss my dad when i was little coz i grew up with just my mom. Anyway i'm OK now, i think it was the weather because i'm hating on the weather lately. It's freezing..

erm the article was about a mother who worked real hard to keep her son in school but never complained and was written by her son, who now is a successful man. It was written about 4years ago i guess.
Hahhhaha and actually, i did blame the weather lol
Have a good weekend :)

Could be the weather because here it is still so cold. Also other contributing factors that perhaps stress and or tension has caused a little sensitivity. I am so exhausted these days to the point that I can cry for the smallest things too.
Maybe your tears were about sensitivity to the story.

Yes i think it was the weather because the weather has been crappy for quite a few days now and i'm hating it a lot. The cold is driving me crazy. And maybe a bit of exhaustion too. Thanks and hope you take a good rest and get rid of those exhaustions.

It was probably just the weather or the hormones too! Sometimes we tend to be more emotional when the weather is a bit gloomy plus you read a sad article. That article could have touched you more than what you have expected and maybe you were able to relate to it.
It's good to cry sometimes though, you would feel refresh right after!
