Dear MyLotters,
Today flu bug seem bugging at me again...My body stamina is getting
weaker nowadays and I easily get flu bug. Probably due to bad weather
and lack of vitamin C,that is why my body looks weak.
One thing for sure, I can not consume PANADOL when I have a flu, I will
get a swollen eyes after eating that Panadol.
My first experience was during my first delivery for my son. The doctor prescribed me
with Panadol and after taking it for few hours, I felt something wrong with
my eyes, I can hardly open up my eyes and then only I know that my eyes start to
swollen and lastly the nurse found out that Panadol is the main culprit.
From that time onwards, I never touch Panadol again.
Lucky, I got this medicine called Clarinase, which is suitable for my flu and I
always standby it at home for emergency used.
Any of you have medicine allergy? Share your experience here...
Thank you.

Dear Shia,
I too allergy to Panadol and I have the same
symtoms just like yours. From then on, I have
to avoid all pain killers. I only visit to the
same clinic, the same doctor who knew my
predicaments. He will prescribed those flu medicines
that do not contains paracetamol in it. So, I
normally will asked for extra medicines to keep at home,
or bring along when I travel.
My sister told me that I should go for 'allergies test' so
that we can find out more, and it is better to know what
we can take and what to avoid.

Hi,
We are in the same boat, allergy to Panadol.
Every time if I were to visit a doctor when I fall sick,
I will tell doctor not to give me any medicine that has the
same contains as panadol,or else, I will get a swollen eyes
again.
There was a time I was having a heavy flu and went to see doctor,
He gave me this medicine called Clarinase,it is a very good medicine and
from that time onwards, when the flu bug hit me, I quickly pop one tablet
of Clarinase and after resting for a day, it recover.
Lucky I can get this medicine at pharmacy.

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
It is glad to know that you don't have any medicine allergy.
I only know that I am allergy to panadol when I was delivering my boy.
Or else, in my whole life, I never know that I have this kind of
allergy issue. But lucky no other side effect, except my eyes got
swollen for couple of hours.

No i don't have medicine allergy. But i don't like to take medicine. And for you i think when ever you take any new medicine you should tell your doctor that you have allergy problem then doctor will keep in mind that you have allergy and will give medicine which don't stimulate your histamine of your body.
Good luck!

If Clarinase is like Claritin it is good for allergy. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.
