I tried to get the job. Applied for so many companies. I do passed the examinations and some are not. I do passed the interviews and some are not. Is there anyone here who is working as a Human Resource employee?
I tried my best and they don't like me I think. I need a job to increase my self esteem and make my family proud about me. I want to earn more than they made. I want to do something for us. Treat them on a vacation and some stuff.
Why is that its so hard here to find a job that I really want? What I am going to do?
Good day!
God bless!

I have not worked in HR but mostly in the admin and somehow got involved sometimes in recruitment. There are a lot of reason why you did not get the job. They could have hired somebody whom they know, its always like that, it is not what you know but whom you know. During the interview they could have sensed something in your personality that they think would not fit for the position applied for. If I were you, apply for a job abroad, do not waste your time in the Philippines. You will just come to know that the salary you would be receiving would be hardly enough to support one person.

It is indeed very hard to get a job these days. One should have experience and has all their qualifications before they accept you. That is why I don't want to leave a job if I don't have a job offer by another company yet because I don't want to stay stagnant for quite sometime. I am not working as a Human Resource but I was told by my trainer before that you have to sell yourself to be able to get the job. You have to be honest but be able to something worth catching to the employer. You also have to be ready and be confident, most employers are looking for confident employees. Well that's what I have learned from my trainers before when I applied for jobs after graduation. I did attend a training session for customer support and they taught us how to answer questions as well as techniques in getting a job. Even if that was 4years ago, I still used those strategies and luckily it still works even if I apply to any other jobs.

The economy being the way that it is right now, it is very difficult to get a job unless you are able to offer something to a company that none of the other potential employees can offer to them. That said, the biggest piece of advice that I can give to a person that is looking for a job right now is to not get frustrated with your job search. Keep applying for those jobs that are interesting to you and you will eventually get a job.

I consider myself as a 'professional job hunter'. It is not because I am good at it, but because I too have tried and applied to so many jobs. Every day, I have job alerts letting me know of possible opportunities, and once a week I send out at least one good application.
All these while I have my current job. I am also always looking for the next best thing. I also want to improve my self esteem, and send my family on vacations, as what I earn right now is not nearly enough.
I have been interviewed countless of times, and have been shortlisted a few times. One thing I've learned is that to never get discouraged. The perfect job is out there. It may take a little work finding it, but I'll soon have it.
You should feel the same. Don't get discouraged. The economy is hard-luck right now, but if you keep at it, you will find it.
Goodluck!

With the number of new graduates against the number of job vacancies today, it is really difficult to find a job. Competition is very stiff especially when you lack the experience. Anyway, try and try and never surrender, and you'll find your real place under the sun. Good luck!

It is so hard to find a job these days. I do not think the problem is with you. I think our economy is so bad that jobs are so hard to find.

I used to work at a hiring manager for a local retail store and I would handle reviewing job applications, interviews, and so forth.
Part of the problem is the economy, as there are so many people out there who need a job and are looking for one right now. This means that 100 people may apply for one job. Even though you think you are the best candidate for the job, there is likely someone else with a couple years more experience than you, and so forth.
The hard part is the best that you can do is do your best and you said you did.
It it hard, but keep plugging away. Keep applying for jobs online or locally (any job that you think you would be qualified for. You are bound to get more interview calls. If not, work on improving your resume. Have a friend or family member review it and provide suggestions. In fact, you may want to have someone who know do a mock interview with; choose someone who will be honest and wouldn't be afraid to provide helpful suggestions and honest feedback.

Confidence is the key in any job interview. As the saying goes, sell yourself. You might need to sound a little arrogant in describing your capabilities, but this is exactly what interviewers need to hear. If you sound like a timid mouse, some companies do think twice in hiring you. Good luck and I do hope you get a job in the next few days.

What kind of job are you applying for?
Do you just submit a resume? or do you have a Cover letter too?
What do they say to you during the job interviews? Do they say you are qualified or over qualified?
These are questions that can help me to address the problems oyu may be having. It would help if I could see your resume as well...so if you wish to share, just add me as a friend and let me know.
I assist people all over the world to get the job they want by analyzing their resume and cover letter and then crafting the same to fit the job they are applying for and 9 out of 10 times they get the job.

I know the feeling well. I tried to get a job from the time I returned from China in 2008 until I returned to China in 2010. During that time, I was able to find a couple of short term temporary jobs. One lasted about 2 months with another short stint a couple of months later and the other was about the same almost a year later. I finally had to go back to China in order to get a job at all since the job market in America was so bad. Now I am back in America for medical treatment and I am on disability. I probably won't be able to find a job again, mostly because of lack of confidence in an interview. I guess I look good on paper, but when I get in the room and talk to the people, something about me turns them off. I'm not sure where you live and how many people are applying for the same position, but that could have a lot to do with it. The employers generally take who they consider most qualified and most likely to fit in with their corporate culture. Good luck in finding a job!

It's really difficult to find a job or even pass the interviews of a particular job. I have had a couple of rejections and I tried to remember what answers I might have given to any of the questions given to me during the interview. Sometimes I relay it to my brother and a close friend and they give me pointers. Maybe you could try it so that next time you can get your dream job. Persistence is the key. Make them feel that you want the job and that you will be an asset once they hire you. Sometimes, giving the right answers with more conviction also helps. Be honest with conviction. Don't just tell them what your employers need to hear although this strategy works most of the time, it won't be good for you.

The job market it a ruthless place these days. It is very difficult for anyone to obtain a good job and even to keep it as the competition and stakes are high. But keep your confidence in tact. It is most likely not you at all but the market. You might check some sites on line that give interview tips and such just to brush up on the skill.

Today with the world economy in shambles, it is very hard to find a good job. Remember, companies are in business to make money for themselves not us. We do the work and they get paid. If you find a job today you're lucky you can survive. We all want our parents to be proud of us and that is stressful. Maybe you should try to do something on your own, like start a business of your own. I know how it is, I have been looking for a job for over 2 years now and nothing.

There's nothing you can do except keep trying. It's difficult for most people to get a good job these days, no matter where they live. Maybe when/if the economical climate improves, things will get better. We can only hope, as there isn't much we can do in practice. If only employers would be more open to give young people a chance, maybe things would get better sooner. I wish you all the luck!

I do not think that it is about your attitude or something like that. At times, it is basically about the person doing the interviews. They have their own biases I think.
You do not have to feel bad about not being able to give back to your parents yet. You will have your time to do that sooner or later. Just do not lose hope on looking for a job. Things are just tough these days. Keep moving forward.
