Don't you love your motherland?

Sudan will be divided into two countries in about 4 months because more than 98 percent of her citizens supported dissociating the country.Don't they love their motherland? Personally,I think citizens should protect their country's uniting, but Sudanese didn't.Of course they have suffered more than too much, they had right to do their choice. I can see, there's none of the countries all over the world is perfect as well as China. But China has changed a lot especially in recent 10 years, there are small buildings here and there in the rural areas, farmers can buy computers and all sorts of vehicles, the elder can buy personal insurance. Also there are many unacceptable things like high prices, officials' bribery and so on,something must be done to improve them as soon as possible. I never want my country to go to dissociation,I love my motherland.

It is my understanding that the south part of the Sudan is Christian by majority. And the north is Islamic by majority. Perhaps those two do not mix well and they're better off apart? If one group is persecuted by another group, it is best to part ways if possible. And even now that they are offically apart, the persecution continues and many die. The world is full of trouble. And it seems that human governments can do nothing to stop it. Perhaps what it takes is real love for our fellow human beings. And that does not come from government, it comes as a free choice within each of us.

Yes,most of the people in the south of Sudan are Christian, and most of the northeners are Islamic,so Sudan has to dissociate into two countries. If so,there would be more than 500 countries? That's ridiculous! Here we can see that getting rid of poverty and keeping peace are the most important.Have fun!

I think that citizens should back their countries or move. All countries have trouble of one kind or another. SOme hav ebeen having problems for centuries. They need to fight for their country and stand behind it but, just like selling a product- you have to believe it!

I live in England and it is part of the United Kingdom. I love my motherland even though on my travels I have traveled to better places. My favorite countries that I have been to are Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Belize and the Seychelles. The best cities that I have been to are Sydney, Cape Town, Vancouver and Cartagena De Indias. None of the countries in the world are perfect but some are nicer than others. Some counties have problems and some have got danger. There can be war when a particular country splits into two or more. For example ex Yugoslavia had a war in the 1990s. I know that it was peaceful when there became the Czech Republic and Slovakia. I think it is a very bad idea for Sudan to split into North Sudan and South Sudan. I think most people love his or her motherland no matter what because quite simply it is home.

I'm from Canada, and I do love it. Canada does have its share of problems, just like any other country, but I still love it. It's still a beautiful country, nonetheless.

I can't say much about that because that's the way they wanted and if they think it would be good that way, they have to do it. Nobody likes the feeling of being under the nose of another country because it means they do not have the freedom to do what they think they should be doing. Culture and traditions do play a part in deciding to part away and be independent.

It is such a pity always if there is separation. It is always joy when there is union.

I love the United States of America. It is not perfect, though. It is made up of people. and people make mistakes. Overall, though, I believe it to be the best place in the world to live. Because many of our citizens disagree with the current administration, there has been a half-hearted attempt to restore sovereignty to the state of Texas, which was a republic prior to becoming a part of the United States. If it would be put to a vote, I do not see how that I could vote to break away from the union. I consider myself an American, a citizen of the United States of America first and a citizen of the great state of Texas second.

Yes,as citizens of a country should love it,improve it,never break it,we should keep our native land united, this is the responsibility for every citizen.

Maybe they had to divide because they love their country so much.

I know that, too. They had to choose dissociation to end the civil war,but they should have done something long before.Of course the reasons are very, very complexed...

I would hope that my country would not see such days, but with all the unrest it is very likely that there will be much trouble ahead! We are not a sensible people and our freedoms have actually corrupted us... it's doomed to see days ahead filled with trouble.

Ofcourse i do love my motherland. I do love my mother land more then anything.I do respect my country. And yes i don't want to do dissociation.Well sudans is very poor country. And poverty is there main problem. Every year so many people die for hungry. So i think this reason make them decided to dissociation. I believe they also do love there motherland but they don't have any other option without doing this.

I love my home my native land. That's one of the line from the song dedicated to our country. In schools, in our community, etc is always imposed or everybody is reminded to love our country. But in some point, People who governed our country make us sometimes shameful to what country we belonged. Like corruptions, killings, poverty, etc. It's really affects and degrade the moral of our motherland. And ask for me, I will do my best to be a better citizen of my country and uphold the very culture of my ancestors to fight and stand up for our native land......

My country has huge and very old history. But this didn't help 150 years ago when it was devided on 5 pieces and just one left free. I am proud with my forefathers because they were very brave for their times. I am happy to say that dividing my country again is impossible, so I left with the hope that other countries won't be divided too. Ofcourse this is nearly impossible to not happen to the biggest but still every nation desides for itself.

Whether the same thing will happen or not all depends on both the government and the people of each country,I don't want to see that any more.

Good morning, Olds! I am sure that you will find that most person's love "their Home and Native Land," but there is an old expression; "walk a mile in my mocassins"...what it means is that, unless we have lived there, under the regime of the government, lived thru the strife, those millions of people cannot be wrong for wanting to disassociate, and hope and pray for a better future. That has been a very "troubled" land...AND I PRAY they will find peace...their homeland is the same, but hopefully their day to day life will improve! Take care and Cheers!

It seems like some countries would constantly be in a state of civil war if they didn't separate. From what I understand, the people in the north and those in the south are so different that they were like separate countries anyway. By separating, perhaps there can be peace in that part of the world. As far as China goes, I'm not going to go into the political aspect of things, but it seems like they are very power hungry and there are autonomous regions. To me, that is almost like another country, they just gave the area a little more freedom as long as they don't try to become too independent. Maybe I don't understand what the land issue is. I don't want to say anything that will upset anyone so I won't tell you what I really think on that subject.

I have learned about that recently. The Sudanese government had to choose that solution to calm all his people to expect the country's reuniting some day.I pray for them. Yes,in China overly seeking power is a serious problem,I hate it.But some region wants to separate away from China is unacceptable.Have a good day!
