I was a person with nearsightedness (miopi). Minus my eyes are already pretty high. Moreover, I'm also a computer holic. You must know the impact on eye's health, is not it? Because of that, my mom told me to eat raw carrots every day. I should eat carrots every day like a rabbit! Yeah, I know that carrots contain vitamin A which good for eye's health. But, the taste of raw carrots are not delicious. Well, I try to do that. I hope it's managed to heal my eyes. At least my eyes can become better.

I guess having nearsightedness is called myopia. Well, if eating carrots a day is the most advisable way to avoid such sickness or abnormality then, you should follow it. For me, I really like raw carrots that were fresh cause it tastes sweeter and it's really good for the health also. but if you really don't like it then I recommend boiled squash. It's really a good and healthy vegetable for eyesight. I loved it ever since I was young that's why I never had an eye problem ever since and still have 20 20 vision. Give it a try for squash it was really delicious so when you tried it better share to us the result. good day bussyien!

Yes, carrots are good for the body (not just for the eyes). For your eyes, you could also take milk. My doctor suggested this to me and said that you have to check the nutrient value and get the one which is high in Vit. A.

Hi. bussyien. Welcome to myLot! I love carrots. I have even tried eating them everyday, but for some reason, I became bored with eating them daily. I love them, don't get me wrong though! I have heard so many times that eating carrots is great for the eyes. I think that I should eat more since I am an avid computer user. Plus, I wear eyeglasses too.

Yes keep eating carrots; actually I like the taste. Kinda sweet. Carrots are not just a good source of vitamin A but also rich source of antioxidants, these are chemicals use to fight cancer cells in our bodies. Carrot juice is very rich in vitamin C and fiber.

ha! ha! ha!
If you search around mylot, I think you can learn something about carrot to rabbit.
In cartoon, rabbit likes carrot very much.
In actual, it is not the true.
Carrot is really good to our eyes, lung and so on.
If I am not mistaken, you should consume the corns and Chrysanthemum to protect our eyes.

Hi Richard,
That was happened to me when I was in college. I love reading and I want to have a clear eyesight always so I try to drink one to two glasses of carrot juice everyday. After a week when I face the mirror, the color of my skin turned to yellowish. In school, some of my classmates is asking me if I am sick because of my color. I'm a bit worried so I went to see my doctor. She told me to take carrot juice once a week not everyday.

I do eat raw carrots also but more often make it in to juice. Just ignore what people saying that eating carrots is like a rabbit because they are not the one who can get good result about eating carrots. Carrots is not only good for eye sight but for regular eating or drinking it will make also your skin healthy and glowing.

If you don't like the taste of raw carrot, try to dip it with mayonnaise.
Let the carrot stays in fridge for few minutes, just to make it crunchy and a little colder to make it more tasty.
I am sure you will going to love eating carrots then.
Your mom is right, eat carrots like a rabbit...see,rabbits don't wear spectacles or reading glasses

Maybe you could drink a carrot juice instead. It's so delicious my daughter likes it so much.
It would be much easier to drink it than chewing on those raw carrot sticks, and it's more tasty.

I think they're delicious. And they're indeed good for the eyes (and health in general). But they don't cure myopia. Only corrective lenses can do that. I know because I have it too.
If you don't like them raw, you could have them cooked. They lose some of their nutrients, but not all. Or you could have carrot juice.

Hello bussy and welcome to my lot. Carrots are good for vitamin A but so is any yeollow and orange vegetable. I like sweet potatoes and yellow and orange bell peppers for Vitamin A. Also boiled spinach, kale, cooked turnip greens, squash, cooked collard greens, swiss chard. I like all of these vegetables. Kale is also good for vitamin K. I like in soups and salads.

Hi,
Eating carrot raw is not only good for health it also a means of getting rid of constipation. I love eating carrot like rabbits do. Just take a couple of them on a plate and wash them and start rabbiting them.
Tasty and good for digestion.

According to scientific research, carrots do contain lots of vitamin A, but errors in the eye optical system, can not be corrected with vitamin A. Like a camera lens has no focus. People assume, vitamin A plays in the functioning of human vision, but in fact, more vitamin A metabolism play a role in nerve cells, which exist in the retina. So, lots to eat carrots too, not to prevent the amount of minus, plus, or cylindrical lenses.

Carrot contains vitamin A. It is necessary for the synthesis of visual pigment in eye.It is also important in cell membrane integrity. So it can make some small changes for you.
