The plan didn't work...

So on Saturday I cleared some things out of my pantry, including some bread that had gotten rather old. I didn't get any bread when I went grocery shopping later that day, because there was still a fair amount of bread left in the pantry. Well, I did actually get some ciabatta rolls that were on sale, but other than that, no bread. Then this morning Dearra is making her lunch, and I'm making mine. I take one of the ciabatta rolls for a sandwich, and she goes for one of the remaining loaves of bread. "Eeeewww, moldy," she shows me. "Well there's another loaf in there. Toss that one!" "Yuck, there's a little bit of mold on this one too. Are you trying to kill me?" "I thought that bread was good. Here have one of these ciabatta rolls instead." And that's when Naomi pops her head around the corner and says in an ominous voice, "the plan didn't work." And we all bust up laughing... So a little bit later Naomi goes upstairs to look for her jacket, and Dearra hears her say to the cat, "Tiger, the plan didn't work."

Sorry the plan didn't work. But you've given me an idea. I'm going to take my few-days-old bread and make a bread pudding with a delicious creme anglaise. Thanks.

Hello, Dawnald.:) I read everything and I understood every single word you wrote here. But, pardon me, dear, for I am slow at getting this. . What was the plan? I think whatever it was, no one minded that it did not work.

No, no I did not mean moldy bread, I meant the plan was to get them to eat healthier bread. Sorry it seemed that way. I was implying that were buying healthier bread and wanted them to eat healthier??

When no one else sympathizes, talk to the cat. It is good no one got all pouty and pretend like you really meant them harm. I know how those teenage girls are.

Yeah, she can be quite sensitive. The other day, I don't know what he said, she was so upset with her dad she was crying and telling him to go away. I think it was a misunderstanding, but he just could not shut up and back off long enough for her to calm down.

You know when you watch movies, and see some of the characters being shown already exhibiting the traits they are known for even when they are little? I think Naomi is already showing that! It'll be fun to revisit these moments when she's all grown up and has already decided what she wants to be.

I don't think the plan will succeed, by just mere look at the bread you'll notice the mold and nobody wants to eat molds. Change plan instead! LOL!
