As a child I use to sleep walk and was not allowed to sleep on the edge of the bed, so that this way I had to climb over the child next to me with the hopes that I would wake them up and alert that I was sleep walking.
I don't know what causes a person to sleep walk and can't remember when it stopped for me, I do know I was about 8 years old the last time I can recall doing so. I do remember being told by the Pediatrician that you are not suppose to abruptly awaken a sleep walker because it would harshly startle the hear and the person could actually have a cardiac arrest.
So to answer you yes it is possible to have and or see people sleep walk while asleep.

This was something I used to hear also but now they are saying that you should wake them because of the fact they can cause harm not just to themselves but others. Some sleep walkers have been known to get in a car and start driving it. Things like that are a good reason to bring them back to reality.

Hi. divyangshukla. I have never walked in my sleep. Sleepwalking is something that I have never done. I think that it is scary to walk in your own sleep. I am glad that you noticed your friend walking in his sleep. Anything could have happened to him, if you were not around. I hope that he is okay. I do think that it is very possible to walk in your sleep. I have not seen it done, but it can be.

I experienced that with my younger sister, she was sleeping at 2pm then suddenly she stood up and walked outside the door so i said "where you going" but she wont respond so im scared when i notice that her eyes were closed while walking so i called my dad to get her back on her bed she still would not wake up, she woke up after an hour when we asked her why she stood up and walked outside the door while sleeping she only said WHAT??? it means she really dont know what happened to her, i dont think why was happened in other person till now i have no idea in this kind of dream walker.

Yeah, that must've been a pretty funny experience. But also dangerous, he could have gotten hurt walking around not knowing what he was doing. And yes, it is possible it can be a big problem for people suffering from it. In fact some people have killed others while they were sleepwalking, Believe it or not I'm not making that up. Sleepwalking can be a very serious problem.

Hi divyangshukla, i have never walked in sleep , but when one of friends had that habit, but its quite funny, so we used to laugh at him , and we used to take care of him, we used to make sure that all doors are locked and we used to keep some heavy loads in front of doors...luckily nothing wrong had happened

I do believe a dream walker do exist and it is pretty dangerous to
have a dream walker at home. Better pay extra attention to that person.
I just watched a drama tonight and an old man was dream walker almost
every night. He did not realized what he has been doing until her
daughter in law recorded and replay for him to see,at last he agreed to
visit a doctor for medication.
Some people may have dream walker because of the pressure in their life .
When it happened, they do not even know why they are doing it and what they done.
sound scary to me..!

When I was little, I woke up in my parents' bed one morning not knowing how I got there. That's about it. But it can be dangerous. I know a family who's 12 year old daughter fell off a balcony from 14th floor at night while sleepwalking. I think these people should sleep with someone locking their room from outside.

I remembered when I was a teenager, I had a few sleepwalking experiences. There was once that I was writing something on the paper when I was sleeping and my brother witnessed that. There was another event that I put dumbbells on the bed when I was sleeping. It was quite scary because I wasn't aware that I was carrying something heavy.

Actually, I have slept walk before, as a kid. I know this fact, as my mom told me about the times I walked in my sleep. However, as far as I'm concerned, I haven't done this in a long time. Although, apparently, I do talk a lot, make noises, and such while in my sleep. This is according to my husband, and I have no reason not to believe what he says.

No i don't walk in my sleep. But yes it's possible. As i heard some people do walk in there sleep. Actually it's a psychological problem i think. They should consult with the doctor. And i think it's not funny at all. It's very serious problem.
