Recently I read an article on the internet about using twitter.
Dawn Simorangkir who is a fashion designer in Los Angeles sue Courtney love (wife of the late Kurt Cobain, Nirvana Vocalist) because the writing Courtney Love on Twitter.
"The lawsuit contained several postings written under Love's former Twitter account, courtney79, that accused Simorangkir of theft and of having a criminal background."
What exactly is behind of all these demands, money, popularity, or perhaps another ?

Hiya aisoice,
Twitter can be really great to use but at the same time like Facebook it can become your worst enemy.
All depends on the People who follow you I suppose.
Me I never bother with Twitter really unless I have a real project in mind and even it was a project I would not spam everyone with it they either want to read it or they don´t.
Things like that can happen claiming that they are using other People´s work that is why I find Twitter somewhat complicated unless I knew a few of the People I would not put them on my list and I would not follow others either.xxx

Hiya aisoice,
Katrinapaz has got it right there Lawsuits for anything said out of place and goodness knows what else.
One has to think very carefully about what they write on there any more even with People you really know.
If only People could be like the little lad with such a lovely smiling trusting face like the one in your Avatar then Twitter would be much more user friendly don´t you think.
What a lovely sunny smile he has indeed.

yes you are correct aisoice! when people use twitter they should be careful with the choice of words that they use and to whom they are talking about because it can be read by followers. Sometimes people having twitter feel they can say anything to anyone because they own the account but then they are still hurting other peoples feelings.

A lot of twitter comments have resulted to lawsuits and arguments. That will be my motto from now on: think before acting! :)

I agree with you my friend, we should be careful in using different kind of socialize sites not only for twitter, same thing also happen in facebook. Alot of individuals accused for misusing and alleged using others account. Used socialize sites wisely so that you will not face any consequences at the end. Regrets will be at the end not in the beginning.

You are right, we should be careful before using any of the social network sites. I personally believe that it is not wise to disclose one's self identity because anyone can write anything about you.

Hi aisoice: I think that if someone writes these horrible things about me I'd also sue the person that write these things because this person is playing with my image. It's not abot thye money, it's about justice. It's also about difamation. We have freedom of speech but this doesn't allow anyone to try to destroy someone talking bad things about him/ her.

Hi starsailover,
Maybe I will also do the same thing as you said, I would sue him because I do not want to do stupidity like that and I also do not want to be like that.
For that let us look after each other and respect each other for things like this do not happen to us.
Thank you.

This case will be a historic ruling on cases of defamation via twitter forward. One person interested in taking this case to its conclusion is Defamation Expert Alonzo Wickers.

yes..in this social networks today if you post anything then it is viewed by thousands of ppl and on twitter if anyone have more followers then whatever you post would be seen and if it is a legal issue then your acc info is taken and you would be accused for that reason...even if someone uses it..if not you.
