So last week was my quest to make $10 a week on myLot. I didn't make it. I only earned $1.52 for the week. I admit I got lazy. A lot of you said it can't be done. I still believe it can but not unless you have hundreds of active referrals helping. But I still believe I can make $10 a month so maybe that will be my new goal. Well I tried well see what happens the end of the month.

Hello dreamy,
I know many referrals would boost your earnings but it is very difficult to find good, working referrals.
One of my referrals has become active lately and my estimations are that he will bring me almost $1.5 until the end of March if he continues the way he started this month.
But you can make it to the minimum payout even without active referrals and I'm sure you will achieve your new goal for this month.
Don't forget that you can increase your earnings by using the myLot search box and also by adding photos to your discussions or to your responses/comments. Just make sure they are not copyrighted and they are related to the topic.
I wish you good luck!

Yes, you receive a reward somewhere between $0.01 and $0.21. (I earned both $0.01 when I was a newbie and a $0.21 once or twice, but most of the rewards are somewhere in between)
Here you can read about the rewards: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq24.aspx

I beg to disagree
It does not take any specific number of posts because myLot is NOT about posting but about discussing.
If you have an interesting conversation/debate/exchange of views on a topic you can go on and on furthering the topic and THEN you would be doing what myLot pay us for but in only one post. You would see the results if you try it.

Hello,
I really admire your ambition to try and earn $10 a week, but I think it may be a step too far.
Yes I believe it could be done, but the amount of time you would need to put into that is incredible.
Quality posting and discussions will earn you more money, but if you are just posting for the sake of posting then you will find the most important fact, ie 'quality' will rapidly fall. Thisd means your earns drop and you will lose motivation. No motivation , means less time in myLot, which in turn means less money and less enjoyment.
You dont really need to set a target, after all, would earning $10 or $20 a month really change your life ?
Dont get me wrong , every cent helps, especially knowadays, but you have to balance time / enjoyment / money.
Keep striving for your goal, and have fun, always.

I wish you good luck on your money making adventure here on mylot. I don't really have an amount that I just need to earn every month, but I'm very new here, so maybe that'll chance in the future :)

Hello dreamy1!! You may think that I´m crazy nuts, but yesterday I changed mylot preference to $25, I´m affraid that if I get my first $10 I´ll be lazy to get the next $10... I don´t know, I love my lot, and I love to have a goal here, that keeps me happy... I know I know, I am crazy nuts, but I hope you understand me Blessings!... Dainy

You can definately earn $10 a month easily or even more at Mylot! It's not impossible. And yes, it is also possible even without hundreds or thousands of active referrals under you.
In my heyday without even starting lots of discussions (maybe about 1 or 2 in every 3 days or so) and also without a single referral, I managed to net about $2 daily which makes it close to $30 in a month (there were days when I had only a few cents). In fact, that is the goal that I am working towards once more but need time to get to it as I'm still searching for a group of friends that I can join after such a long period of absence.
Mylot pays for us discussing, and that is what my group of Mylot friends and I were doing everyday. And for that, we reap the profits and the rewards. Why not try making some 'real' friends here and form a group (meaning to say the people in this group discuss on your own discussions first and when there's time, then respond to other's discussions). That strategy can really do wonders! And it can also form really steadfast friends. Further to that, take the time to respond to each and every reply to your discussion. In this way, it furthers your own discussion and at the same time, enable you to make more friends.
Well, I wish you all the best here and happy mylotting!!

I see no reason why it could not be done. I know some Lotters who make more than $1 in a day, sometimes as high as $1.50, just on participation. So if they can make $1.50 everyday for a week, that's $10.50. Could be topped up a bit with task and if lucky, with rewards.
I am a bit far from making $10 a week. I am struggling to make $10 a month on participation. All the cash out I have made is because of tasks. My aim is to get $10 a month just on participation.

Of course it can be done, there is nothing really preventing that, except for time restraints maybe. But it doesn't mean it is easy. Anyway, try again until you make it, since MyLot really pays anyway, you really have nothing to lose! Good luck!

Hi dear,
Targeting for a specific amount and work hard for it is a good motivation and encouragement for more work. Even I have my plans in my mind for a monthly basis. Most of the time I reach to my target with a monthly basis. Though the targeting not recommended here, individually it is always promoting for a betterment.
Many times, due to several reasons, we may not able to achieve our goals within the limited period, but if we get a long period like a month, within the month time, by adjusting the other works and time spend on myLot also can be compromised and can reach to a better level by the end (cash out time) of the period.
Thank-s

what is the difference between respond to this discussion vs add comment. I always choose respond to this discussion. Do you get paid more if you choose add comment, or do you get paid the same either way?
