I love to pamper my birds... do you pamper your birds? I love to treat them as my "babies". I arrive to our home (your home too), after getting children to school, and I wake up my babies ( 7 yellow canaries) I put them their seeds, bread, apple, lettuce and orange. I put them fresh water too... When I study piano, they love to hear "Star Wars Theme". They all begin singing very loud. I love my "babies Birds" and I love to pamper them like this Blessings!... Oh what nice!! My father used to had one green parrot. Parrots are very friendly pets. And if they make funny noises, or if they repeat words, they become very cute companions =), take care of them, I send them both a kiss =)... Blessings Innocent_lost!... Welcome to Mylot!... Dainy

yes they are amazing the one has very good use of speech and a rather large vocabulary while the other one can imitate any noise that she hears

I have not had pet birds since I was a child. We would give the parakeets fresh greens and the like. I would love to hear you and your seven yellow canaries performing the Star Wars Theme. That is so funny.

I haven't tried taking birds as pets but I do have pet dogs and cats at home. People really have different interests. If taking birds as babies is your interest and hobby, well, that nice.

Hello Junrapmian!!! I can´t live without pets, since I was bornt pets were already all around my parent´s house. I tried to live without pets when I got married and children were bornt. But I simply couldn´t live without pets. I felt miserable. I missed their noise, their barks, their meows, their songs, and the silly noises. I missed their love. Now a days, we have in our home (yours too) 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 turtles, 5 parekeets, 7 canaries, 3 fishes and a little crab named Sebastian, who loves apples. Haha! Take care of your pets! Haha! Kind blessings!... Dainy

OMG we use to own a cockateil and it was like a member of the family. My daughter, loved our "Tommy" so, and one day my ex-husband put the cage outside on the deck. I argued that it was not an ideal place for Tommy.
After 20 minutes I went to our deck and the cage was empty. My daughter cried for days on end. She and I roamed the entire neighborhood, but no Tommy in site.
I remember my daughter singing to Tommy very often and sometimes I wondered if Tommy really enjoy it and missed it on the days she was in school.

Oh poor Tommy, we have to talk to our husbands, sometimes as if we were their mothers too. Oh, I feel sad for your daughter. We may feel guilty to loose our birds, and we wonder if they would find some seeds wherever they´d be . Sure Tommy missed her when she was out in school. Birds feel our care and love for them... As a relief let me tell you that I´ve seen wild parrots in a flock living around this small city. I mean, that lonely parrots may conform flocks. I wish Tommy has find its flock. Blessings to you and your daughter!... Dainy
