What is the most irritating sound to you?

The sound of metal, rubbing in another metal like for example, spoon & fork. When someone tries to rub it, it's like i wanted to bite someone or something, a very strange feeling that really irritates me a lot. And most of all, alarm clock ringing in the morning when you don't want to get up & still so sleepy..hihihi.. :)

I'll never feel irritation, I'll be cool and patience always. Because YOGA is helping to me in this.

The dog that lives a few doors down from us. Yes they let him out in the middle of the night and let him bark away. Then the neighbor next to us on the other side has howlers. Now this neighbor thinks she is in perfect control of her animals with "voice commands". One of them ran down the block and bit a dog being walked on a leash followed by cop action. No license, nothing. Then the other neighbor got tired of the midnight howling and told our neighbor about it in the middle of the night. Entertaining to say the least. We have three dogs! I've had neighbors tell me they didn't know we had dogs!

Yes! I hate hearing noise out of engines. Very irritating. Someone talking in a fast way (complaining, ordering, etc..) .. it just irritates me too! It seems that any loud noise irritates me, it's because its a noise, right?

I call it unecessary noises, ha ha ha! I hate them! Like when somebody is cutting the grass, when my son is: "mommy,mommy,mommy" (and tapping my shoulder), or when my neighbor's baby used to put every morning at six Barney singing: "I love you, you love me..."

The sound that can really drive me crazy is hearing the way someone snivvles.It is do disguisting i could puke when hearring it.

Any sound that my dogs hate enough to start barking....topmost on the list is the lawnmower

Hi Jill That would be the sort of noise that would drive me mad as well The other one is when cars outside beep their horns for no reason, they sit in their Cars and just keep beeping the Horn for the fun of it

Hi Jill, I am with you on this one, one one my neighbours has a new truck with blackedout windows and thinks he is the beesknees and will sit outside with the engine running and then revving it just for the sake of it sometimes for an hour at a time, glad he has enough money to waste fuel like that but it drives me crazy. I was thinking about this...then it came to me. We my boys were small, one had a yamaha 50 cc dirt bike. There was a time when the muffler came off and my husband was busy, so it took a few days for him to get it fixed. The little dirt bike was so loud and ear splittingly sharp. Around and around and around the house he went. It just about drove me crazy.

Motor mouth talking non sense in bad time is so simple annoying. Driving people crazy, inserting off topics with repetition hearers are being screwed. Other said"What a hell you taking about?!

When some one talk very loudly then i feel so irritating. So loud voice is the most irritating sound for me.Specially when i am sleeping and some one talk very loudly then i feel wake up and slap them.Because it's really irritating. Good luck!

To me one of the worst is the person going down the road that you can hear a mile away.If I can hear it so far away,can you imagine how loud it must be inside that vehicle.And by the way they have their windows up and my tv will be on.I hate pulling up at a red light,I can't even hear my own radio.And the sirens that make the dogs howl in the middle of the night.I have never figured out why they do that.It is irritating though.

i hate the sound of the cricket at night it makes me go nuts and afraid sometimes paranoid too. i also hate the barking of the dog especially at midnight, it makes me think that there's always someone outside looking at my house

My house is very close to my neighbor's house. I have more trouble with summer sounds, like the lawnmower between our houses, usually in the evening when I am trying to watch television in the room on that side of the house. The previous neighbors were worse. They used a weedeater against the wooden fence, along that side. I like to have my windows open, but the noise is exasperating.

I hate the sound of chalk scrapping on the blackboard and also the dentist drill which makes me run the other way.We do not get snow here , but I guess that that guy would annoy me as well. Cheers Sue

Hi Jillhill, What irritates sometimes, same can sound good at other times so it is just the mood, like you may not like the sound of drums in music if you are in pensive mood but in jolly mood they sound wonderful. But still what ever my mood is one thing which always irritates me is if the ceiling fan make sound. Many a times i go somewhere and the owner of the house is careless to get fan repaired, it makes a creeking sound on every revolution and it makes me sleeping little difficult.

Jack hammer. I remember when water company here in our place have to change their pipes and need to dig up old pipes using jack hammer. It really gives me headache for a week,but what to do then. Aside from jack hammer,what irritated me most when someone tried to make sound using the balloon (ewchhh...it hurts my gums)

I have the sound of the drill. It's too loud and can't sleep when somebody's drilling the roads
