Do you buy expensive pens?

A few months ago I bought a few cheap pens. After a week or so it seems that the pens ink are skipping. This ball point pens although with different brands seems to have the same issue of skipping ink. So, the other day I opted buying expensive gel pens. Wow, I just love it. It's so smooth to write on! Even though their a bit expensive I think it's all worth it.

I usually don't buy th most expensive pens on the market. they really dont write any better than the less expensive ones. i don't like to buy the least expensive ones either. Sometimes they dont write well at all. i usually buy a pen that i trust not to let me down.

I used to love to buy a good pen, but nowadays I find that I am being sent pens from all over, through my junk mail, and there are some good pens too. I don't think I will ever need to go out and buy one again! _Derek

nope i dont... but my wife buys this expensive pens that she uses when she cross stitch. i guess it is also gel pens but the one with gliters... is that what you call it. colored silver, gold and she also bought a black one that looks like it is also glittery. har har har. i dont buy expensive pens because i lose it at once. the cheap once are better. i wont get pissed if i left it or lost it. my wife one time bought me a pen that i can hang around my neck. i didnt lose it but it ran out of ink at once.

There are good inexpensive pens in the market. You just need to know which ones to choose from. I used to have expensive pens but lost a few so have stopped buying those. I prefer good quality inexpensive pens now. For gel pens, it is better to buy at least 0.7, the ink flow is smoother compared to the 0.5 tips.

For some obscure reason, I always receive pens as gifts. So, I rarely buy any. But if I did, I'd probably get cheap ones. I do most of my writing on the computer anyway. But gel pens are great to write with.

I like gel pens but you don't have to get expensive ones. I have issues with pens but I have to wonder if that has something to do with me being left handed. Some pens work better for me than others. I think if you find a pen that you like just stick with it. Bic seems to be pretty good and the pens aren't terribly expensive.

nope, not really but i would be glad to receive an expensive pen gift. lol! i don't usually buy pens expensive or cheap ones coz i don't use pen much these days. when i need to write i just borrow my husband's pens. they were not expensive as well but they write nicely and so far no problem with the brand he's using.

Well, I guess quality does indeed come at a price. True there are a few exceptions, but if you really want to get the best value for your money in terms of a products' performance, then you have to spend a little more. Like in the case of pens. I think it the materials used to produce gel-type pens cost more than the common ballpoint ones and as such, that added cost is thus passed on to the buyer :)

For me, I would very much prefer to have a pack of cheap bic pens. There are a variety of reasons for this. The main reason is because of the fact that whenever I'm using an ink pen, my children have a tendency to steal them so they don't last me for more than a few days. However, the main reason that I prefer the cheap ink pens is because of the fact that I am left handed and gel pens make a huge mess on my writing hand.

No, I don't. The reason why I don't buy expensive pens is because I don't write much on paper. I am always in front of the computer. Not to mention, I did a lot of travelling a few years ago, and I ended up collecting pens from many hotels and motels I am not going to buy any new pens until I run out of the hotels and motels pens.

for me i will never buy an expensive pens because expensive or cheap it will always depend to the user of the ball pen,the most expensive the most we need to take care of it,but when its not or the cheap one we can still take care of it and it will last long.

Well if you really want a good quality product you have to pay for an extra amount. But not all expensive things are of good quality sometimes it's just the brand name that you are buying. Well, I seldom use pen right now but I have one that I use for signing papers -Pilot Sign pen - not too cheap and not too expensive but of good quality.

This depends on if the more expensive pens demonstrate the value to justify the premium price. This issue seems applicable to all grocery products. You want to buy a cheaper with acceptable quality or a premium one with justified advantages? Different people might hold different opinions due to their own unique life experiences. This is also influenced by the last experience you have had. For example, if you suffered from the cheaper pens, you may follow the same logic to buy a more expensive one when you come to buy some other staffs.

I buy cheaper pens. It isn't too often that I have had any problems with them though. Once in a while, I will get a pen or two that runs out of ink quickly, or just doesn't write at all, but in general, I have good luck with my cheap pens.

a pen is just a pen. but a pen is mightier than than sword :) The cheap one that you purchase is more like a disposable pen use it once and discard. The a bit more expansive ones are for keeps, but there is another type that is way more expansive. This kind is good to handle nice ink flow, ergonomic to the hand and a lot more. They were design and crafted for writing in mind. I have one of those, It was a gift from my wife. It performs at top all the times without fail.

Hi, For me, I won't never spend money on getting an expensive pens. All the time, I only buy those pens which have a best brand and their price is reasonable. I never buy those branded cost which may cost a bomb. it is not worthy. Of course, when we are writing,we need a pen which can write comfortably,so getting the right pen is pretty important, but not all cheap pens will have very bad quality.

Sometimes I buy inexpensive pens and they have always been okay. I have some ones with cartridges that I like. I can no longer use a thin pen. I like the thicker ones, and they usually have cartridges. I haven't seen cartridge refills in the stores for some time. Can you still get them do you know, or do you have to get a whole new pen?

That is what I feel when it was a first time using the gel pens. At first I said wow but then I realized that ball pens are much better than gel pens.It just my opinion that gel pens make my writing look messy than a ball pen plus ball pen is much cheaper as there are just pens do not have to waste for the expensive one. But if one is comfortable using them the expensive pens then it is alright. It depends on one comfort.
