Has Daylight Savings Mess up your Sleep?

It has mess up my sleep lately and for the pass few days i have been feeling so tired. I will wake up around the me time as I usually do but my body feels so tired. I am guessing because of the daylight savings since I wake up around 10am and when I do technically I am waking up around 9am. Today I woke up around 9am but again technically it would be around 8 am if it wasn't daylight savings. So my body has been fooled with and just driving me crazy. HELP?!?! I just want a really good sleep without feeling tired when i wake up but energies

I really don't get much sleep anyway as a general rule, so I haven't really noticed any difference in sleeping patterns. I have noticed that it is still dark early in the morning when I like to open the curtains! I don't like that I think the whole idea is weak and stupid!

Hey macdingolinger, I remember one of my teachers telling me one time her town decided to not Change the time and when they went to school for a whole week the street lithe was off and it was too dark outside for then us to even see them so, when she told me at that made me think oh okay that's why they do that. And i am sure for many reasons as well lol hey I like it even though it takes time to get use to, however the long sun light makes it all the nice and better

Well yeah you are right about that but just we are up when the sun is out more base on our time of waking up... So yeah there are pros and cons to everything in this world haha

The long day is nice I will give you that, but realistically we do not have any more hours of actual daylight - it's just rearranged.. really for no reason.

definitely. it was a good thing that we had nothing planned after church because my whole family was exhausted! we came home, ate lunch and then had a nap. (even my teenager!)

Hey cher913, It's amazing how much an hour will throw you off haha.. same here I started to yawn in church lol. But yeah naps do help and it's good for the heart lol, but yeah.. I happen to fix my self alarm clock and fell asleep when I was suppose well when my body wanted to and then woke up early not getting enough sleep so get an alarm clock and then you will fall sleep early and wake up early haha works

I have noticed perhaps a small change, but it's not a huge difference. Usually, it does affect my sleep a little bit, but it doesn't usually last very long. Whenever there is daylight savings, I do have some sleeping adjustments to do, but it's not something that lasts long.

I have REALLY been affected this year by the time change--I am tired and have been out-of-sorts all week. As much as I like the extra daylight, I think that it is harder to adjust now that they moved Daylight Savings ahead to March. It is still cold, still damp and dreary, so it seems harder to adjust than it did when Daylight Savings was in April. Or maybe I'm just getting old!

Hey suzieqmom, Sorry to hear that I just fix mines today / yesterday lol. I woke up at 8am lol so I am very happy that o fix my problem lol. I thought it was going to take me longer but, I did. My secret is to go to bed when your body wants to but wake up at a tome you want to. Make sure you don't get enough sleep. Even though that's bad it worked for me lol. I fell asleep at 1-2am and woke up 7:30am and I feel asleep at 12 midnight last night and woke up 8am lol. So all went good and everything went as planned haha. You should try it haha., I don't remember if it was in April last year but yeah..

In mean time sleeping is the best habit to take the rest of the body becomes in a silent mood u are saying sleeping latley my suggestion is wake up in the morning at 6am doing some exercises at 1 hour or two hours then fresh up and then eat tiffin at 8:30am after wards do u have a work then do it towards the meals time at 1:00 pm after completed ur launch then go to sleep at 1 hour give some rest to the body. Afterwards u go to the work towards at 5:00 clock and then drink some coffee then put the leisure to your work after the leisure then go to work then after 8:30 pm you go to dinner and after wards u go to do some work at 9:30 pm u go to sleep this is the daily timings u exceed with sleep

Hey lilac lady, I think it's time vs our bodies time is going ft and just seems like everything is going to fast or going too slow. And our bodies are just trying to keep up with the change but our mind is stuff on a habit. I know we will eventually adjust I just hope it's soon haha wish you good luck as well

I think Daylight Savings Time messes up everyone in one way or another. I am very tired this week and have taken naps, when I do not usually do that. I am exercising more, but you already work out so you do not need that advice. I think it helps to get some sunshine during the day to help us normalize our body clock. Cut out the caffeine early.

I haven't really noticed it when it comes to sleeping in the morning. But when I go to bed at night it seems too early to go to bed. I usually go to bed around 11 and the last two nights when heading to bed it just seemed to early to be going to bed. I'm sure that you'll adjust in a few days.

Hey ravinskye, Happy to know that I'm not theo nay one feeling this mess as well. Mines I agree I sleep later but I feel like time goes to fast and i have to wake up early I think the only way to fix this problem is to just make our bodies tired and just when it comes to bed try to relax for hours and just wait tille out bodies get tired and go to bed, I am sure our bodies will adjust like it slays does buri hope it does soon since start my new job and it's a 48 minute drive and so.. I would need to wake up ferry early

Dear friend, I feel those meditation techniques could help a lot in keeping our mind better and also in controlling stress and tensions. I feel if a good yoga teacher could give a better guidance in keeping better life in situations like this.

Hi. payout. Yes, it has. All of this week, I have been feeling very tired and exhausted. I need more rest and it feels like I did not get enough of rest even though I have went to bed really early. I have gotten so used to my regular time until I am so exhausted when I wake up in the mornings. I feel like I could use some more sleep.

As spring approaches, I feel like I am adjusting to Daylight Savings Time, but I am adjusting slowly. I feel tired, and like my body's natural sleep clock has been thrown off. In the past, it has taken me a couple of weeks or more to adjust to this. The situation took care of itself, when I started going outside and getting more sunlight and exercise. If you keep your diet regular and go to bed the same time each day, you should be well on your way to adjustment, that is what worked for me, anyway!
