i guessing smiling to someone means recognition, i mean smiling at someone means you know him or her. you won't smile with people you actually don't know
somehow smiling is a way of greeting someone, a way of respecting someone...
how about you, why do you smile? what makes you smile?

Well, I haven't known any person who hasn't smile all his life. I guess, it is automatic to smile if you are happy or your feeling is right and there's nothing that bothers you. I always smile even without reason, it makes me feel light.

Most people smile when they see something pleasing to the eye. But there are certain situations where smiling is done to prevent something else. Have you ever heard the saying "smile through your tears" or "smile so you don't cry"? I once knew someone who smiled foolishly when they were scared or nervous. It was their body's reaction to the situation.

Smiling is a universal way for people to connect with each other. A smile is a way we know we can approach someone and they can approach us. I usually smile when i see something that makes me happy. Sometimes a smile is contagious. Even if we don't feel like smiling ourselves, someone else's smile can turn us around.

Well, all the things that makes me happy ,can make me smile. I really want to enjoy all the new things here on earth. I want to explore the world and most all with my family. Even though we're apart , I really want to go with them anywhere. What makes them happy makes me even more happier. The most important for me is my family because they are my life and I cannot live without them. They are my strength and my hapiness...

I dont know why I smile at people. You have some points though. Its just a warm way to greet someone or be respectful. It`s great for flirting too.

Well there are a number of reasons why a person can smile. One of those reasons is that they are just expressing the joy and happiness and really enjoying life. That is not a bad thing mind you, but rather that is a good thing, a rather good thing to say the very least. I know that when I am in a thrilled mood, I tend to smile. Not much but a little bit to show those that I am in a good mood.
However there are times where people put on that happy face to hide the pain. They don't really want others to see how much they are hurting on the inside. You have to wonder sometimes if the smile is putting on a facade, to cover up the pain. It is not always the case, but people do go to some extreme extents to cover up there sadness. To the point where it is so obviously fake. Still bringing things back around, there are many reasons of joy to smile and we should celebrate that.

I don't know if it's a natural reaction, like dogs shake their tails and cats scratch when they are happy. Maybe it begun like a sign to comunicate when we weren't yet able to speak, like 'yeah I like this, I like you or I'm happy'.
Talking about smiles, it's one of the most beautiful thing in a person. Everyone becomes cute and handsome smiling! LOL

I smile because i want to make somebody smile back at me too. Smile can brighten one's day even if you don't know him, so i smile to brighten one's day.

I smile when I greet people too. I think this is best way to greet people. If you look mean they will want to move on and stay away from you. My husband, pets, family and friends make me smile. I love them all.

Me makes me smile smiling people. I like happy and smiling people and I don't like when I see bad and angry people. Brrr.
I often go walking down the street and smile people and if smile return, then I feel happy. I like good world with good and smiling people, it is better than war and tragedys...

If u are telling about the smiling it is a recognition, but several smiles are not like that see some one it looks beautiful and her face is charming than others when he smiles whats the reason we think she is interested upon us to make a friendship with us.There are lots of smiles but we never recognize those smiles when they are smiling i also never recognize about those smiles for this time also when i am going on the road some one see towards me and smiling i don't know which type of situation is going on on their minds. If some smiles upon me it is irritating for me why because, they are always smiling like that what we do we do nothing infront of them just we think about ourself about that smiles. See some people are always similing its a irritating one but some are smiles like a class its easy to understand but some are smiling in a different mood that type of smiling we doesn't understand well.Smiling is a response and smiling is a attitude and smiling is greetfulness and smiling is a attractive ness just like a magnet.

people smile because it feels good to see people smiling. they smile because they believe that it will make them beautiful and smart. or they saw familiar faces along the way and greet them or it could be they found something that makes them smile like remembering something from the past. or they are just happy people.
