How a doctor can feel pleasure in othyers suffering?

Hi Friends,
These days I am reading a novel which is about a girl trying to kill herself. at one point she talks about a doctor feeling pleasure while describing her problems.
Perhaps that doctor was curing her from so long and she had been trying to kill herself so doctor was not interested in her cure anymore and hence that feeling came out which she misunderstood.
I do not think that any doctor can feel pleasure in others sufferings.
What do you say?

Hi front visions: Now that you mentioned this, I have also read a novel written by the Marquis de Sade where he describes a crazy doctor that loves violence and that tortures his patients. That's creepy

Yes, that is a novel so not a big deal and I feel it will not happen in reality.

Hi Ajay Singh Baghel: That's disgusting. In general a person that decided to become a doctor want to help people and do something for his/ her community. However, I know a medicine student that has a strange atraction for blood. I think he doesn't want to hurt anybody but he likes to see human parts if you know what I mean. Those images that people usually find disgusting, for him they are interesting. That's weird to me.

yes, the purpose of being a doctor is to cure the illness and no to make fun of it so that should not happen at all. I am glad that it is in the novel not in reality.

Those are what we call non-violent psychopaths. The suffering of others, no matter what the form, can give them pleasure. They revel in it.
I do not find the idea of a doctor feeling pleasure in the suffering of others unusual nor unbelievable. I've heard horror stories enough to know that doctors are only human beings; some become doctors to save lives. Others do it for the money. Still some perhaps, become doctors to enjoy the misfortune of others.
There are all kinds of people in the world.

Doctors should not forget about their profession they are peoples of god who can cure us in many situations.
