If Australia wins this world cup then cricket as a sport will lose, agree?

well first thing i dont think there will be no effect on cricket if australia win it is only a world cup they have lost many game against other teams so i dont think there will be any effect. second thing i dont think australia will win this world cup they will lost there next match against india. the performance against pakistan was very miserable so i dont think they can beat india.

no.i won't make much effect.in 2010 and 2011 australia did lost quite a few matches in odi's and tests.Also they aren't the dominating team at the moment as they aren't the no.1 team in test.yes they have won 3 world cups and going for the forth and may win but sure cricket won't be the looser.

I dont think if aus wins then cricket as a sport will lose. but this time the chance for aus to win the cup is low. specially they have to win against india, this will be a major task. now in recent past india has been treating Aus as rivals, and surely its going to be big clash. but in previous world cup, aus won the world cup by winning all the matches they played in the world cup. australia has 30+ consecutive match win in world cup. but this time pak has breaked it. so this clearly shows that this team is not as dangerous as the past australian team. but we cant write them out, australia always perform well on big platforms and india give it up very near to the victory. so the coming quarter final is going to be very interesting one to watch for all cricket lovers. and another fact is that all eight teams qualified to QF is good teams,test playing nations, so anyone can win the cup.

I agree there. Australia should not win another match in this world cup. There is one more team which should not progress any further and that is Pakistan. I still shudder to think what would have happened if the entire Srilankan team had been blown up by their terrorists. The match fixing and the infighting in the team is very disgraceful.They are lucky to be still playing the game at the international level.I hope West Indies delivers the coup-de-grace at Mirpur.

No i don't believes that If Australians wins then cricket will fail or it get affected because cricket is a game which no one can say about it because Australia is a great team but they also lost games with lowest priority teams like Zimbabwe,Bangladesh etc...But I am Sure that Australia will not win this world cup...Hope so

I don't think so if Australia can show the nerves and win this world cup improving their game tremendously then Cricket will gain instead of loosing. Australia is not the same force it used to be a few years back. They buckled under the first real test they faced here in this world cup. They lost to Pakistan. I don't think they can improve much from here. Their batting hero in earlier version of the games where they won was Ponting and he is not in best of form at the moment and they don't have match winners like McGrath and Shane Warn.

It doesn't matter who win the world cup cricket had its own potential. World cup exist coz of cricket n not the cricket is due to world cup. There are many events which matter more in cricket. IPl is more famous than worldcup so we need not to look those things. Any way i feel they will not win this time but any thing can happen.
