Hi friends,Recently USA,Britain and france started air attack on Libiya.Surprisingly these nations are claiming this is war for peace while lots of innocent people are dieng in Libiya.I strongly think this is war for the oil and not against Gaddafi to establish a peace. No war is aim to establish peace. Post your opinion friends.

Personally I think it's a war for oil. The USA got tired of paying for oil, so their using peace as an excuse to get it. Watch, gas prices will go down once we "win".

I think the same way. But I also think that the people who are in charge get all caught up in the money and power. (And I know, haha my computer spazzes out a lot, and I don't know how to delete it)

Gas prices are high because of antzy Wall Street speculators and greedy big oil once again robbing American citizens ... is the demand now so much higher than supplies? I really don't think so!

Libya's oil is owned and operated by the state isn't it! There are no UN resolutions with language that would give any international authority for any foreign nation to occupy and/or to invade militarily, on the ground, the soverign nation of Libya. I think that too many "news" pundits (as usual) are ridiculously confusing folks about this mission of the U.S. and partnered nations. The U.S. does not rely on much Libyan oil, perhaps 1-5% only!! You may want to research that percentage but, I'm pretty sure it's factual. Pundits and many others say they are "confused" about this mission, I agree with them, therefore, I will not listen to "confused" people! Speculations gone amok from those who have no security clearances or inside military ops information whatsoever!!

Well, Sameer I've listened to President Obama and his military operatives who have all stated very clearly that this multi-national effort is to protect the citizens of Libya ... initially, the protesters began their own efforts to oust Gaddafi on their very own but then Gaddafi began to violently attack them, his own people!! No civilized nation could stand by and allow Gaddafi to murder his own people in real time!! President Obama has stated that this "no fly zone" is to give military air cover and give humanitarian supplies to the protesters and citizens who Gaddafi threatened publicly that he would go door-to-door and murder .. his own people! Who knows what Gaddafi intends to do going forward, however, the people of Libya might have a better chance with this no-fly zone in place to remove that man. Gaddafi's ability to attack militarily his people has been limited ... without his military functioning, he just may seek asylum in some other welcoming nation.

I don't know, it may be a war for oil- or, a war for something else. But not peace, I'll bet.

Already Iraq is in the hands of US. So why does they need extra oil reserves. Libya is supplying Oil to US ,more than any other country. France needs of Oil is limited as it is a nuclear powered country.I dont think it is for oil. International democratic community wants more countries to be democratised. This is necessary for their capital markets.

Oh friend you have made apoint.Countries like India struggling to get rid of terrorism from several decades. And all the world knows that the Pakistan is supporting the terrorist camp moreover now the nuclear bombs of pakistan are not safe from terrorists.India is capable of taking the militant action against this terrorist camp but the strong nations like USA says let this problem solved by the discussion.Does it make any sense? Thanks for responding.

Everyone said that the Iraq war for for Oil but the US has not seen any more oil. This mission is to protect Libyans from Qaddafi. We can only hope that we protect the people and they will do the right thing for Libya.

Definitely a war for oil by our world bullies and an opportunity by imperialists to take out African leader colonel Gaddafi who has never kissed their behinds!

let's just be open minded to this issue. it's not fair to judge the actions of these countries against libya---maybe they've really ran out of all options as to resolving peace so as to come up to these attack...but for whatever is the reason, i still think they're doing the right thing.

It is not new that 'outsiders' walk in to 'help'. It is all done with vested interests. When two parties are at war with each other the so called helpers mess it up but get enough benefit for themselves and this must stop.

Dropping bombs for peace is like f*cking for virginity ... it makes that much sense

I am hoping that there will be a quick resolution and a speedy solution to this war, because it is not in the interest of the world, it only serves to drive up the oil prices all over the world.

Everyone here is missing the big picture. This is a preliminary step in a plan that has little to do with oil and all about the coming no-fly zone over Israel. Since the UN instituted the no-fly zone in order to protect the people of Libya from genocide. How long before the UN has to 'protect' those in Gaza from genocide?
