Everybody likes crab ragoon, I don't know anybody who doens't like it. I wanted to make it at home but I never succeed, do you know how to make it at home? When I eat at the Chinese reataurant, I like to order the meal with crab ragoon usually, it is a good appetizer.

I love going to chinese restaurants but I have never heard of crab ragoon, I always go for the seafood dishes as I don't eat meat, maybe we have it under a different name here in Australia...Sounds interesting.

Hello mermaid. My family likes crab rangoon a lot too. We eat it every time we go to an Asian restaurant. My daughter decided to try making them at home. It takes wonton wraps or egg roll wrappers. Some crab meat, cream cheese, spring onions and seasoning can be Worcestershire sauce or tamarind, dark soy sauce, and vinegar sometimes garlic or fresh ginger. They are sealed in the wantons wraps then deep fried in hot oil. They really are simple to make. She has also made the egg rolls but the trouble with them is getting them wrapped nice and tight.

It is one of my favorite appetizers. I don't eat it that often anymore. It's bad for my diet. I have made it before. We used a wok. Cream cheese, and canned crab work well. here is a simple recipe I found. http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,181,146189-248202,00.html

I love asian food. My daughter does not. She does not like the crab ragoon. Ive made them at home too. I buy the eggroll wrap. It needs to be cut down because its too big. Save the cut off part and fry them to put into eggdrop soup. For the crab ragoon i get the philly cream cheese, mix with crab meat and chopped geen onion. Put a dab in the middle, wet spots one the side then press together. Pop into hot greese til golden brown. Yummy eat while still warm.

It was easy. I used the imitation crab meat. Which is actually alaskian pollock fish. Taste just like crab.

It's sounds yummy. Well, if it has cream cheese then it must be delicious I love chinese food but I also have not tried nor seen crab ragoon. However, I think I have seen an appetizer in a Thai restaurant which is composed of cheese and wonton. Have a nice day!

Now that you bring that up, every time I eat out at a Chinese all-you-can-eat buffet, except for dessert, EVERY plate will have those crab rangoon stuffed wontons. I just couldn't get enough of them. Crunchy on the outside, sweet on the inside, these were delicacies. To me, it's worth eating out at Chinese buffets just to get these treats. Either I pop the whole thing in my mouth or bite off a bit and either reveal the sweet cream inside or eat the crunchy parts only, these things are just delicious.

I've never made it. It doesn't look too difficult to make. A deep fryer would probably help a bit and that's one thing I don't have nor the room for. Though you know I wish we just had the pocket of the crab ragoon and not all the extra that you use to pick it up with as my hubby has taught me to eat the pocket of filling and not the rest so you don't fill up while at the buffet.

YEah crab ragoon fill you up quick because of the crean cheese and the grease, so when I eat at the chinese buffet, I don't eat the skin but only the fillings as well.

Hi. mermaidivy. Anything that has crabs in it, I will never eat it. You can count me out when you are talking about eating any foods or dishes that has wild seafood in it. I have never eaten crabs, and I don't want to try either.

I love crab ragoon. I eat it everytime I go to the chinese buffets. Its crunchy and has tasty crab in the middle. I think they buy the stuff and just fry it. I am not sure how they make it.

hello ivy, I've tried to search on with this recipe so it's a dumpling. It says that crab ragoon is made of crab meat, but crab meat can be alternated with pork meat (grinned) or with shrimp. My kids love this menu. But usually i cooked the ground pork meat or shrimp wrapped in wanton wrapper. You put the fillings with pork or shrimp, chopped onion and garlic, mixed with 2 beaten eggs, add some salt to taste and black powdered pepper. You can add some grated cheese and grated carrots too, then mixed all ingredients in a bowl until well blended and put enough amount in a wanton wrapper and have it deep fried. You can dip it in a black sauce with lemon juice and some chili. I hope you will like it. This is how i make the dumplings (crab rangoon, meat or shrimp)

It's kind of like dumpling but not quite, it is like fried cream cheese in a wonton wrap.

Hmm, I don't really know the recipe of it, but it certainly taste really good though. I would like to have some too. Unfortunately, not many people within my family know how to make it too. So, you might need to search a bit online, and keep on practice it more while you are trying to make it at home.

I don't like Crab ragoon. As i don't eat crab. I don't like the test and also i could find a bad smell in crab. So i don't like it. When ever i go restaurant i do ignore the food where crab is available. So i also don't cook crab ragoon in home and i don't like the processing also. Good luck!
