I'm saying this prior to the semis match because i know india will thrash pakistan in semis i have a reason of this:-
1) Pakistan will be in pressure as they will be surrounded by indian crowd.
2) Pakistan strong point is their spin bowling line and every body know india can play spin bowling in well manner.
3)Pakistan batting line is not as good compare to Indian batting line.
4) Last, Sehwag performance against Pakistan is always dangerous one or what we need..?
I think you will also be assent of my this point..but want to know your opinion on this matter..?

You built nice list of home advantage but I want to share comments from our beloving 1992 World Cup lifter Captin Imran Khan who was giving an interview on Geo TV. His comments goes like...
1. India will be under pressure because of its own crowed.
2. India will be more under pressure because of big game Semi Final.
3. India will goes much more under pressure because he is playing against Pakistan
4. India will goes under extra pressure because they have to defend their unbeaten run against Pakistan in any World cup.
Pakistan...
1. Pakistan has the history to break records like they did against Australia by broking their unbeaten run in World Cup 2011.
2. Pakistan pace attack is more better than India and Shoiab Akhter who is playing his last match will be the key person of this match.
3. Pakistan's feilding which was always weaker has been improve because of youngsters in the team which play an vital role in the Semi Final.
4. Pakistan batting line is now in the rithym which can produce mirecle.
So I think which points are you discribing as an plus points maybe they are the weaakness in front of Pakistan.
But my sayings are "Best Team will Win" so it can fight in the Final as a Leader of subcontinent.
Wish you all good luck and cheers :D

In your heart deeply you love Pakistan Cricket team and love to watch our excitable and jittery character, plzzz admit it. :D lol
Well grapes are sour not only for us but for those too who love exciting cricket in which Pakistan is rich enough. So its not loss of Pakistani players but the cricket loving audience and owners of tournament too.
You can not hide behind the wall of security but you must admit it was political decision rather than security.
Well Pakistan is facing so many international agencies which are operating within Pakistan in the cover of diplomats. So there is no proof that Pakistani people attacked on Sri Lanka team and if a person who have little mind than he can easily conclude, "How a country can bring such huge incident on them in which everything they are loosing?. So please do not come harshly on this topic.
Well I agree with you on the point you made regarding our bosses in cricket otherwise we have so much talent which can easily fulfil every place.
Yes we will be over the moon after win because it is one more step towards lifting the world cup which is our biggest dream right now.
Thanks for your best wish and yes Insha Allah we are ready to lift this world cup although cricket and we are unpredictable ;)

Yes I love Pakistan cricket. The most talented players come from Pakistan. who better than Imran, Miandad,Inzy, Basit Ali, Zahir Abbas, Wasim Raja, Abdul QuadirHanif and Mushtaq Mohammed, Misbah, Mudazzar the list is long. But most of your cricketers are not gracious and speak in immature fashion. but no complaints about their talents.
In IPL auctions your players were not picked by the club owners for reasons concerning security and commerce. It is club cricket after all, so they are missing nothing but some good money.
OK Isloo may your dream come true if it brings the people closer but you know that is not going to happen. In the border there will be lots of firing from both sides.
Providing security to your team particularly in Mumbai will be a huge responsibility so it is better if Dhoni sends your boys back from Mohali itself. P Chidambaram, the home minister will be mighty concerned and will pray that your team is defeated in Mohali, what to do times are such.
Security is a major concern and even if ther is a slight problem teams like NZ, England will create a big fuss, you can't deny that.
Sorry if you feel I'm harsh but when I think what could have happened to the SriLankan team in 2009, i start breaking out in cold sweat. Such talented human beings cannot be sacrificed for some meaningless stupid cause. well let us stay away from politics and hope Pakistan has a safe and fruitful journey to India.

Well India is in better position to win the Semi final match against pakistan, as pakistan will be playing in India, also the previous records against india in World cup is not good. but we cannot overlook the pressure India will be under. They are playing in home conditions and there will be a lot of expectations. I think India is going to have more pressure than Pakistan. Team Which will be playing good under such conditions and overcome the pressure is going to win the match.

1.pakistan never beat india in a world cup but it works either way.pakistan might think every record is meant to be broken and india might get complacent
2.india may be good against spin but afridi is too good in this tournament;love to see akthar though because even with gul getting 16 wickets,it doesn't look that threatening.
3.funny thing is both captains are known for big hitting but both having a horrendous tournament with bat.while afridi hits 8 boundaries and only one sixer, dhoni proved he can bat better than afridi by smashing 9 boundaries and one six.lol
4.opening partnership is going to be huge because india had a consistent opening scores with some heavy mandatory powerplay overs.
5.but the thing that weighs heavily in pakistan's case is they are extremely unpredicable .besides no one will care if they lose but if they win,it would be great so they like the underdog tag.

1.Why should India become complacent , its a semifinal of a world cup and not a 5 match odi series.
2. Indians will look to be positive against Afridi without taking too many riska but there are those who would like to to take him apart. Like Gambhir and Raina. Yusuf Pathan would like to teach him that a real Pathan lives in India and even though he may not speak Pashtooni he can clobber the ball fearlessly.
3. Dhoni may not be required to bat where as Afridi is unlikely to stay long at the wicket.
4. Pakistanis are unstable and Indians know that they can implode any moment. They are not used to this level of consistency and if Ross Taylor can take them apart along with Jacob Oram India knows what is possible with the likes of Raina,Dhoni,Pathan and Yuvi. A loss to India will never be forgiven so Pakistan will play with that fear. And India has been waiting to wallop India for too long now and I can see the Indians lining up to have a go at their bowlers particularly Afridi.

And one more point my friend,
India has never lost to pakisthan in worldcup matches.
so here also India's chance of winning is very good.
and pak batting is not very good as compared to indians, thats the key point which should be watched.
hope that India wil reach the final and win the cup.

Hi venkit
Well if Indians Batting line up is in the top scorer than do not forget that Pakistani bowling is in the top wicket takers.
So this match is going to Pakistani bowlers Vs Indian Batsman's.
Cheers

Hello siliguri,
I think every Indian thinks the way like you, as an Indian I too wish the same only. However, we can’t underrate Pakistan; they too reached the semi final by proving their talent. I know Indian team and all other Indians regained the confidence by defeating the Australian team. So let us expect the best.

Don't say anything early it will make no sense!
but your 4 reasons are tryely right but as world trend to changes we might see here to.
I like INDIA to win here and reaches final. It will be a match between sehwag, sachin and the bowlers of pakistan.
Our bowlers are little weak as compared to pakisatan biu he batting line up over come .
I aslo want to remind you the match winning patrnerships done by dhoni and yuvraj.
They always played the sensational and bring INDIA home.
Hope to see INDIA win!
