I am no knowledge in terms of starting out a blog. Friends told me I have to have a think a Hostname and Domain Name that's all what they said to me. But will be the next step after knowing that 2. Please help me start a blog. I want to know it personally from the members of mylot before depending on the site that I could google out there. If I make it good and earn consistently I will return the favor to you. And say thank you as well.

This website will give options for making money on line and help you create blogs. Yes, the thing I like the most about them. They are truly willing to give assistance. They just don't say they will help, they really do. Just something for you to consider.

From what you wrote, it looks like your objective is to earn money. In that case, it is probably better to go with site like triond. If you want, you can sign up under me. See my profile. It is tough to earn money with your own blog since you need a few things: 1. Have to an interesting niche to attract readers. 2. Be able to update the blog regularly or you will lose the fans you spend time to attract. 3. Build up enough traffic to be able to start earning. Writing for a site like Triond or Bukisa allows you to skip step 2 and 3 and let you focus on your writing and also marketing. I wrote an article on that previously at the following url: http://writinghood.com/online-writing/triond-vs-redgage-vs-own-blog/ Hopefully this helps.

I liked the link. But I prefer something that focuses in creating a personal website.

BEcause I am a Zen practitioner, I have a blog that I have devoted to the practice of Zen. I don't know whether or not that is considered a personal blog or not, but it is how I live my life. _Derek

It's easy. Just go to blogger, and all instructions are there.. haha =D Blogger itself is a domain name, and all u need to do is think of a name for your blog. After which, choose the templates u like and u are good to start. It's straight forward and simple. Other than blogger, u can use wordpress too. As i've never used wordpress before, thus i can't tell u how it works in there.. haha

I have been blogging for quite sometime now and have never really stayed with one blog site because the only reason why I blog is that I like writing down my thoughts. And I hate it when my post would show whenever I search for it. I don't like it that is why I never really stayed with one blog site. Start with a free site if you're a newbie. Then if you wish to make a profit for it, try to check those sites that has a really good reputation. Don't start with those sites that require you to pay for hostnames and domains if you're new to this. try to know first how it works before getting into it. Good luck!

Blogger would be the easiest one I can also like all above recommend and also would recommend some basic knowledge with HTML coding. Here is a link I like to give to beginners, you may have some knowledge but it can also help with some areas perhaps you are not familiar with: Not a referral link: http://www.vietfun.org/homepage/index.html

Hi Syoti, Though i am not in to blogging but a very close friend of mine is and let me assure you it is next to impossible to earn a decent money if you dont know much about blogging and 99 out of 100 fail to even reach the minimum amount needed to make payout. But it is no harm trying. Good blogging sites which let you post on their pages and make you money are 1. Blogpsot.com 2. Hubpages.com 3. Triond.com 4. Bukisa.com Try these 4 or any of the four. All are good. I personally would say go for hubpages.

Hi syoti: I think that tyhe most important thing you have to know is definig what do you think you have to tell the persons that are going to visit your blog. Once you define the subject, go to blogger and take the few steps to open your blog. Look carefully the design layout you want for it because it will make your blog friendly. Keep updating your blog with news, comments, etc and that's it. You can also promote your link on facebook, twitter, etc. ALVARO

You don't have to have a domain name, if you're a newbie, start with a free site like blogger, and if you like a more advanced, clean look, Wordpress is good. But they give you a domain name for example yourblog.blogspot.com or yourblog.wordpress.com. Don't overstress yourself, just learn things one thing at a time. Then when you feel more comfortable with blogging and using its feature, then you can move on to hosting and domain names.

Actually, if you are a newbie then I would suggest starting with a free blog site like blogger. It would allow you to test out the waters before diving in. Having a hostname and domain will cost you and that would not be beneficial for you since I guess you are making this blog for profit.

Well I don't know exactly what you are looking for but me and my cousin have a radio show on blogtalkradio.com. We don't make any earning though but it is really great fun!
