I spend more than 12 hours using computer almost each day, because my work is about computer, but it doesn't affect my sleep, actually, each time when I turn off the computer, all I want to do is go to sleep, it makes me really tired to sit in front of the computer for so long.

Dear friend, I too use computer for more time, but I do also spend time for sleep if there is no much work. May be I feel I am not addicted to it as there are lots of other engagements other than being in front of computer. But it do have a negative impact on our body especially eyes I feel so.

It does not affect my sleep at all. It could be that you aren't used to sitting in front of computer for long. Have a nice day.

Hi dear, We can point out 100s of solutions for it. But none of them will be effective, unless you yourself doesn’t take care of it. Every computer users have the same issue as most of our work and life are too much related to computers. Even I am using the computers for the last 20 years from 10 to 6 daily and for the last 5 years 3-4 hrs. extra from home also. In a way we all are really addicted once the internet also come so popular and there is no end to it. Here what we can do is priorities our usage with efficiently and effectively. Computers and we are always available all the 24 hrs. a day. But if we do not restrict from ourself, who is going to help it. Till last month I used to sit late night like 1-2 in the midnight and go to sleep only after 2 am continuously. Then I though, it will damage my eyes as well as good health also. Now I decided, whatever may be happen, I will not sit beyond 12:00 midnight and go to sleep. We are much attracted with many works or time pass or myLot like works as a pleasure and enjoyment. But the continuous usage will silently damage our system, no doubt. In this case, nobody is going to help or advise us. Here we should self realize the real facts and act accordingly. Once we decided, no one can change our decisions. So, intentionally or purposively reduce the timing and cut short excess usage and sleep atleast 7-8 hrs. a day, which is importantly required for good health. Once in a while, we can sit late and do the things. But if we continue on a regular or daily basis, it is so dangerous and we should think and work professionally and wisely to protect oourself from computers. I think you understood what I mean to say and act wisely’ on computers and which will help indirectly. Remember, unless we decide, on one can help and we should decided what to do. Have a nice day and best regards, Thank-s

Your eyes were just tried from being tuned in the computer for 10 hours that's why it produces water or tears. The ophthalmologist told me to use computer for only 2 hours or 3. My advise to you is to lessen your addiction from using computer before you regret. Having blurred vision in the future is so difficult. :)

I am one of the people which got blurred vision from the PC. In high school i studied a lot of programing, so many hours in front of the PC. Now I see with my left eye 40% and with my right 60%. If you are not forced for example by your job to stay in front of the computer dont stay. It affects you. Thats why now I study Environmental Geography because they make a lot of trips in the nature during the studies, so its a benefit for me to rest and recuperate my vision.

I also spend around 12 to 16 hours daily on my computer and having the same problem. and it hurts not only in sleeping but also reading books. The quickest and very effective cure for that is "Honey". Just pour one drop in each eye. I use it normally once in week or when needed.

It is very important to rest your eyes as earlier mentioned. Your eyes get strained by the glare of computer. It might also be that your eyes get very dry during the day. Then when you close your eyes to sleep your eyes are lubricating themselves and causing tears. Try using Visine or Cleareyes if your eyes get dry or irritated during the day. This might help.

I'm not an expert but I think it is affecting your sleep. Be sure to take breaks, don't have your computer screen to bright or close to your eyes, and give yourself some time to relax away from the computer before trying to go to sleep.

Yeah, I never have this problem myself, but really it is important to really look away from the computer like every half an hour. Look around your room, look out the window. Walk around and look up, look down, blink your eyes many times, just focus on something other than the computer screen at certain intervals. I do spend a lot of time on the computer, however not straight. There are times where if I am feeling irritation, its time to get up and walk around or look out the window for a while. Sitting straight can lead to a lot of problems. I don't really have any issues, as while the computer is on, I am not on it the entire time. Then again, I don't have the attention span to sit still, staring forward for ten hours straight, which has to be a blessing in disguise.

Hi ashish! Well, I spend almost 13 hours in front of a computer. 9 hours in the office and almost 4 hours at home. I seldom feel sleeping problems because my eyes are already tired. I usually get a very nice sleep. My eyes only turns red ao painful when other things happened like exposure to smoke or dust or when it's windy. But I just close my eyes to relax them. When water is coming out of your eyes, just let it flow. It cures and relaxes your eyes more. Maybe next time, don't be too close on your monitor or take at least 10-minute break in between hours that you're in front of the computer.

Hey there I think you shouldn't be using computer for that long without taking breaks in between. The water coming out from your eyes may be a sign you eyes are telling you that they are tired. If I were you I'd go to the eye doctor because you know eyes are really precious. I do use computer a lot but I take small breaks in between.

I have actually had this problem before when I played too many computer games over the summer. Just try to get off the computer at least 1 hour before you even attempt to sleep. Also, if it is possible, you should turn the brightness of your screen down as this often can damage your eyes, causing pain in severe cases.
