Do you actually print out the pictures and put them in the album? Since I have my first digital camera, I save all the pictures on the computer instead. I prefer to see them in an album though. Since my baby was born up til this point he is 6 months, I think I have taken over thousands of pictures of him, I was picking some of the best pictures of him each month to print them out and put them in an album. I want to mark down what was happening in the picture while I still strongly remember. I think it is nicer to look through pictures in an ablum than on the computer. What do you think? Seems like Wal-mart will be the cheapiest place to do the photo printing - $0.09 a piece, I picked 300ish pictures...(It wasn't easy because they are all just CUTE)

Hi mermaidivy, althought we can enjoy the convenience of digital camera and save our pictures in computer for appreciating at anytime. I still would like to pick some representative ones to print out and keep in photo album. So that I could share them with my loved ones or friends without switching on the pc I always place the album with latest photos captured on the sitting room small table for guests to have a random look while waiting for me to prepare beverage for them. They are invited to view more pictures on the pc screen if they have great interest in places where I snatched the fascinating images Just like you I have lots of photos of my son, nephews and nieces since there were babies. I don't feel bored to watch them again and again though they are grown up adults already lol... Happy posting and have a niceday.

I have three albums of photographs of my daughter but when I received a digital camera for my birthday I stopped with the albums and decided to keep them all on the computer backed up on discs. I choose nice ones I may want to frame but to be honest I feel doing away with albums a good thing. We put the photo discs on the TV when we feel like reminiscing.

I have a lot of pictures on my computer. I usually stock pile them on my computer until I have a lot of them and then I put them on a flash drive and go and get them all developed. I defiantly need to start catching up on my scrapbooks for my duaghters. I have tons of pictures, just need to get them developed and put in their books. I developed about forty pictures last week for my new collage picture frames. I have the same problem of picking which ones I want to develop because they are all so cute. I still get my girls pictures done professionally even though I take a million picutes myself. My walls are just covered in picture frames with pictures of my girls in my living room. They are just way to cute not to look at. Having copies on the computer is great though because if one ever gets ruined you can always get it off your computer and print a new one.

Yes I think there are just some things that need to be printed out and put in an album, and baby pictures are definitely one of those things. Babies are juste cute all the time and so it's hard to pick just the right one because there are so many "right ones". I hope you can get some sort of deal for bringing in so many to have developed!

And babies like to make faces, it is just cute so I would still have all the pictures back up in the computer and pick some to be printed out.

hello ivy, I have my kids album always updated. My youngest son just graduated from elementary this morning, and have picture taken and i will be selecting some photos from the event to have it printed and put to his photo album. I'm doing this since they're babies, and keep a full details of every event/occasion of their moments. Sometimes my kids will open their albums and would reminisce those photographs, they also teased each other on how they look like when they are babies (they loved it so much) I also keep some important pieces of souvenirs, such as baby book, medical check-up records, school report cards, school ID's . I also have their first writings and personal drawing cards and a lot more...i've kept those thing for my kids to remember. Just a tip and hope you will also enjoy collecting those small memories/souvenirs when your baby starts to write, and go to school. have a great weekend

I've actually moved on from printing pictures. I use shutterfly. I save all the digital photos as soft copies, and create the album online. During the year, I pick the good ones, and layout the album on shutterfly. I can even add some captions to make pages more special. After the Christmas season, I have the album printed out. It comes out like a book, and a photo history of the year.

Just go to shutterfly.com Try and explore it. I'm not saying that it's the best, but you might like it. I tried a different site before, and the album that they printed out faded after a few years. The shutterfly books that I have have been great. It also keeps the size of the albums year after year, uniform.

Yes I like the albums as well. We can sit at the table over coffee ot on the couch and look at pic. and talk about the old day's and laugh and sometimes cry but it is more of a hands on feel. I also have them on comp. But you know when the power is out it it not there to look at. So I have both. You have a good day.

I do actually still print some of my pictures, depending on how memorable and who I want to share them with. I have tons and tons of photo albums and kid with my daughter and tell her that if anything I leave her in the future it will be all my photo albums. Because she is my older of the two I figure she will treasure them the most. I also saved them on my PC and back them up on my external hard drive. Photos to me are totally priceless and want to keep doing this for years to come. So that some day when I grow old I can sit and recall the wonderful memories.

When my older children were babies I put every photo in albums when I had an old fashion camera. Now a days when I have a compact digital camera I chose the best photos to have them printed out into good photos. I save the best photos on memory cards, on CD:s and I've made my films on DVD:s using my computer to accomplished it. It is lovely to watch your own recorded films on your DVD:s. Good memories.

I stopped developing pictures since I got a digital camera. I never put the pictures n my computer too as the memory was really huge of the memory card until I lost my camera . I was really broken coz it had all of my pictures and I didn't even have any backups. I learned my lesson.

I save all my photos in the computer and every folder is named after the date (e.g., 110101 New Year) I have two boys, 4 and 6, and I have compiled photos of them since they were in my tummy! It's fun to see how they have grown through pictures. I'm not so fond of having all pictures printed not to mention the cost. However, I have printed our best photos of our travels abroad and put them in a scrapbook with tickets and stuff. I agree, the most difficult part in choosing pictures to print is the fact that all pictures are cute especially since my kids love to make faces and expressions in front of the camera...

I am a little lazy, I just take picture with camera and upload them to the computer. But the only thing I concern is that, if my computer has something wrong one day, and need to redo system. What about my photos? :0
