same goes here for me buddy.not even my eyes hurt, but my upper back as well.for the eye strain, you might need a screen guard for your pc monitor, one that lessens the amount of radiation that your pc screen emits.just relax your eyes a bit buddy.take breaks to rest your eyes

I experience a similar problem with you but when I feel that I stop working with my computer and relax even just for a few seconds.. You have to make a rest, maybe you are too close to your computer and every time you've finished to your work. You get to wash you face for refreshing feeling, don't ever do that it could irritate your eyes... It's good thing you've visited doctor, maybe you could also try other opinion from other doctor, if it really doesn't work out.... Happy weekend

Sounds like you are over straining your eyes a bit. Not sure if you need eyeglasses, if not they do sell a filter for the screen which helps with so much light glare that is harsh for the eyes.
The other may be that you are spending way too much direct hours, a few breaks may help. Also you might want to look at the settings on your computer because there may be some setting to dim the colors/light a bit, that too can be too much for the eyes.
I hope some of this can help and you do over strain too much.

I currently do not work from home although I would love to. I think that maybe you are straining your eyes to much like others have said. I would try taking breaks often if you are able to, so you can give your eyes a break. Sometimes it can be from needing glasses/contacts because you are straining to see what you are doing, or it could be that you are just at the computer way to long. If it were to continue I would see an eye specialist to see what they recommend because like you said you defiantly don't want to lose your vision. Hope that helps. Good luck.

It's best to rest your eyes every now and then.
1. If you are wearing glass, get anti-glare glasses. If not, you can just get a glass with anti-glare (no power) or use anti-glare filter on your computer.
2. When you are working on your computer, give your eye a rest at least every hour (more if needed). Do some eye exercises - close your eyes and roll your eyes, close your eyes, massage them gently with your finger going in circular motion.
3. Use artificial tears. I don't know if it will be available over the counter in Pakistan. You can ask your chemist/pharmacist for artificial tears. It helps in keeping your eyeballs moist. It is an eyedrop.

I have had this problem before, until I decided to get glasses some years ago. That was a major problem, a lot of eye strain, and headaches to go along. Did your doctor suggest glasses to you? Although, you should know if you need glasses or not. But, thats pretty much the only thing I can think of that could solve your problem.

maybe you need to rest your eyes sometimes to relax them, or you may set certain hours working in front of the computer. maybe it is because of long hours staring at the monitor that causes it. sometimes i feel the same thing, all i do is close my eyes, relax it a little bit, or skip using my computer for a couple of hours and do something else to relax my eyes.

My problem is the same. Maybe there is something to be done. Many people work all day with computers. They say that there are special glasses, but I am not aware whether there is good feedback and effect.

Do you wear glasses? Or contacts? Sometimes when I am in front of the computer my eyes start hurting too but I wear glasses and need some new ones but I can;t get them just yet.Maybe you should go to another eye doctor and get a second opinion? Just a thought and hope this helps you. Hope your eyes get better and have a great day.

hi fizzer, I don't work from the computer but I spent most of my time in front of it. I think you were push yourself too much on working, it's not good for your health. and it effected to your eyes, I just wanted to know while you're doing the therapy, did you still use the computer? I have one of my friend who have health problems when she use the computer and the doctor told her not to use it anymore, thus she resigned from her work. I hope this not happen to you. please don't give up and do your therapy regularly and listen to the doctor said. hope you'll get better soon :)
