Yes company should follow this policy because this is not good You are using Computer for entertainment purpose like hearing song, seeing movie in free time. Ya but you can do other work on Computer in free time like my lot or in MS word for some larning purpose. Internet using is no problem but really this is difficult if you using non related work but tell your boss I was free so I am using. No not required disciplinary action for internet using but it may be for song hearing and movie seeing because other person mind is also convert in your place.

I currently am a stay at home mom, but when I was working my boss was very uptight about doing anything besides working. I worked at a bar, and the owner really wanted everyone to be on there toes and paying attention to what was going on around them. If he saw your cell phone out, he would give you a single warning, and the next time he saw it, he would fire you. I think that if you really aren't busy and have nothing else to do that the employer should give you a little slack. I can understand though for some employers not wanting people to veer from what is meant for on their computers because of the threat of viruses. That sometimes all it take is for one person to go to the wrong site and the computer is infected with a virus. I guess it is kind of a catch 22.

Hi purplehaze, even i have the same problem in my company, and so i use my desktop after coming home for mylotting other than that i don't have any option in my office, for listening to music i'm having my i-pod, so that'll not be a problem for me.

IF we are in the employers' shoes ,undoubtedly,we're also not gonna allow that kind of thing to happen .I am just a little bit concerned about your passion about the work you're doing now.Is it really your kind of dream job?I know this is a common phenomenon within my country cause of it being under socialism.A lot of companies owned by the government ,with that said ,the employees are not sacrificing much enough to deserve what they are being paid. They seem take everything for granted ,waiting out their shifts .I know this is a kind of hard catch-22 situation for a lot of people to deal with ,especially having a family to feed ,bills ... and all this sort of thing to handle.

Hi there, I have been Mylotting a lot these days since i have my mid-semester break. Normally, i would play PC games or watch youtube videos when i am bored or have nothing to do. I also like reading fashion magazines and reading daily gossips to freshen up. Else, i love chatting with my hubby but he gets bored too soon :(...Anyways, there are so many things to do in leisure. I don't work these days and go to Uni. When i am bored in the class, i hide my phone between my palms and play games.:p
