By the title you must have already understood what this is about. Basically, is studying worth it?
In today's world almost every people have access to education. And the reason for that is that the world as evolved. But also because people think that in order to have a good future you need to go to school, study and have good grades. You have to be good at something. Also people go to school to be able to read and write, in other words, not to be illiterate. But that's not the point of this discussion.
I'm here to talk about if is it really worth it to study in order to have a good life in the future. Most people nowadays have this sentence in their minds. At least most of my girl friends do. They are constantly studying and that really bothers me, I don't know why, but it does. I am in a easier course than them that by what they say it "doesn't have any future at all". I'm in IT management and they are in Science and Technology. In my country, Science and Technology is the hardest course to have. And they think they are superior than others by being in it, they think they are more clever than the others. But I love when they talk about this subject because most of the times I ask them something about general knowledge and they aren't able to answer. Than I make fun of them. Their studies are making them so much busy that they don't have an idea about the world around them. I don't study much but I still have good grades and I'm confident that in the future I will succeed.
But this doesn't always succeed. And as today's economy is, this is getting more extint as the time goes by. There are many cases that people get PhD's and still can't get a job. The other day my parents told me about a case in wich a young adult had a master's degree in engineering and that same guy was now asking for money on the streets. Basically, he was homeless. This is a rare case but it did happen. And of course there are people that succeed in school and in the future have a very good life. Also, students nowadays are getting very lazy and are starting to not give a damn about school. They are normally those guys who don't have good grades and only disturb everyone causing them to also have bad grades.
And then there are those special cases that people are really good at something, they have a talent, like singing or playing a instrument, and then they go to a band or produce albums or something and become famous and that way they succeed in life. But this is off-topic so i'm gonna shut up.
Also nowadays people are getting more ambicious for better skilled people. If that person sucks at what it does it's almost immediately fired. And the economy doesn't help neither. Because they can't afford to pay the workers.
Bottom line is: life is tough.
My question to all mylotters out there is what do you think about this? Is it worth it to study in order to have a good future? Leave your comments below.
All your commentarys are aprecciated as long as they stick to the topic and aren't flaming/spamming. Very much aprecciated.

Its really hard to get a "job" these days if you don't have university or high school, more if you haven't the university, because as there is much people trying to find work, there's competition, so only the best can get their spots on companies or work stations, I'm not talking about a bar or something, I'm talking about jobs where you get good salaries, like big companies...
Now, the answer to your question which is if its worth studying, depends... In one hand if you study untill the university you get a job more easly and you will have a good salary guaranteed and you'll live a "good life" in terms of economy, but in the other hand, if you don't study, I mean its just some years of your life you spend studying and will make your life so diferent, its not worth not studying, if you dont study you won't have a good salary guaranteed, you most likely will have a "crappy" job where your salary is the minium possible, and you work as hard as someone who has more than 5x your salary, in a long-term you'll have much more "work" having that job than studying and then have a good job, I'm a teenager and I'm planning on going to university if I can apply there, because its so worth it... One of my dreams is being rich and I'll try my best to reach it, being lazy isn't the best way to have a good life, its the oposite, will drive you to a really bad life...
And thats it thats my opinion on this...
~~ Happy MyLotting! ~~

That's so true what you said Filigs.
There are many examples for what you said but one of them is, per example, a janitor receives a low salary and works his as* off every single day cleaning whatever building or place he is working in and a doctor, in spite of being smarter and it's a fact that he worked for it, receives a super high salary and doesn't move a single muscule. That's what you can get for not studying and not having ambition for something. Working twice as hard and receive half of the salary that others get.

Yeah I did not want to go to college, but my mom was the one that made me go. I guess that I have to thank her because now I am going ot do something with my life and end up in the medical field which is always a good field to land in. Yeah though going to college is no fun either because it's mostly studying and not all partying like in high school which I miss a lot these days, but I guess we all have to grow up and I will continue to further my education to make a good living. If my parents are helping me pay than why not.

You have the luck of having parents paying all your school depths. There are some students that have to work at the same as they are in school in order to pay for their school depths. Just try to imagine what kind of life that is. It's a very busy life, you have no time for anything. And your grades can go down the pipe because you have no time to study because of work.

yes education is important because knowledge and know how is important to gain opportunities and money , knowledge can come from many source one of them is school college and from people too , the main target here is gaining knowledge and with kniwledge a person can advance , in modern world certain jobs also require paper qualification.

Yes you need in some jobs paper qualification. But in my opinion I think that to have practical experience is more important. But an opinion is an opinion. The companies who hire people are the ones who decide what you must or mustn't have in order to work for them.

Yes, it is. In one hand i agree with you. Many people kill themselves to study, lose most of their lives then to "nothing". Many spend money, and years of study, then even with a great course, not finding a job. But also, no studies, what are we?! Everyone should know a little of everything, even thought we are in one professional course, we shouldn't feel less than others that are on courses for the university. In this regard, we have even more advantages than they, because we can more easy sign in in "world of work", and while we are already well prepared in three years, they are in five years. After so much study for no work... Anyway, life is really tough.

Yes I mentioned in the text that in order to be something people have an obligation to go to school to at least learn to read and write. And also to have a little of general knowledge.
Life is unpredictable. You can have no studies and be the most successful person in the world and in other hand you can have a lot of studies and be a nobody.
Conclusion is: "Life's a bi***." (sorry for the expression but I had to use it ahah).

IMO, I think that memorization for a lot of "facts" may be a thing of the past. Yes, it's good to know how to spell commonly used words and memorize basic math facts. But everything else is constantly changing. For example, we used to call Pluto a planet, now it's not.
I think that once people get through the basics, the ultimate goal is to learn how to research the up to date answers. They need to know if they're looking at a reliable source.
When it comes to college, I think that an associates or bachelors can go a long way. In most cases, however, I wouldn't get too much education before entering the job force because it makes it harder to find a job. The companies will say that your education over-qualifies you, yet you have no practical experience or not enough. In other words, I think that it makes sense to get that foot in the door and get the experience before perusing even higher education.
Since information and what is accepted truth constantly changes, you'll be more up to date by waiting for that higher level of education. People also might decide that their career path isn't what they want. I wouldn't want to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars and realize I have to start over.
Sometimes, having a PhD can cause problems because of the over-qualification issue I mentioned before. Also, prospective employers will assume that such a highly educated person is going to expect significantly more than what the company can give them as far as pay and benefits go. This also may make a person more marketable, but I think that at this time, this benefits fewer people than it has in the last decade or so.
But it's all my opinion after plenty of lay-offs between my family and friends.

Life is indeed a battle for surviving the fittest! We need to be schooled in order to acquire the necessary learning and training needed in our profession which will aid us to live and enjoy life. Life without education is not life per se. After all, life is a continuous process of learning. Intelligence is not only inherited but acquired. We need to gain the necessary concepts and schemes to be able to keep on the flow of life or else we are at a big loss. Many try to complain because the government seem not to be providing them their needs. But instead of complaining, better yet do something worthwhile as the late former US President John F. Kennedy once said, and I quote, "Ask not what your country can do for you, rather ask what you can do for your country?"

Hi there, Welcome to MyLot...
It is a very crucial question. Students indeed are getting lazier and getting engaged to useless habits these days. Education was important before and is even more important now. Making upcoming generations aware of their surrounding and various influences is significant. It will help them cope with any problems in future and make them independent. Personally, my mom was very strict about me going to school and doing my works on time. This gave me a fear to attend school every time and now i must say i am doing great with my life. One always needs encouragement and support. Education is the base of starting life and is extremely important.

I got a lot of ideas before I went back to school cause my first wasn't that bankable anymore I go to something specific and practical the noblest profession of all a teacher, and it pay's a lot with my tutoring and as a coached, It is really worthed as long as you know your passion in doing things don't just learn to do things but by learning and loving what you do, of course education is primarily important if you want it to achieve. but I don't compare my self to other people, I mean they have because it's intrinsinc to them like Manny Pacquiao he's very good a boxer then an educated boxer, then a businessman, a politician and model to those who sees the future as nothing at all. LOve what you do and everything will follow.
