boots with shorts or skirts

Well I think it all the depends on how a woman could carry herself in shorts and boots or skirts and boots. If she's got long and slender pair of legs and can walk with grace and confidence in boots and skirts or boots then that is fine. However there are those who finds it quite an awkward combination so they don't wear that combination.

It all depends on the type of boots...me being 5'10, I prefer 5in stilleto thigh high boots and that can be worn with either shorts or skirt. It's all on how you "rockin it". I've pulled it off plenty of times but of course I only wear the boots when i'm going to a club. Now if it's ankle boots...that's a negative on both ends, it just won't look right with a skirt or shorts

Knee boots and mini skirts or shorts were in style for the first time in the early 60's. Then resurfaced in the early to mid 70's. That was my time and I wore that combo and loved it! I had black and blue and white and brown boots! Later when the short skirt gave way to the mid-length skirt, I still wore the boots. Although, I did alternate the boots with 4inch high heels. Love them heels!!!!! Love them boots!!!

Hi. lilmama23of4. In the early and late 1990's, I have seen this type of style on many movies. I remember seeing it on a movie called, "Sweet Temptations", featuring Drew Barrymore. I enjoyed watching this movie. Drew wore boots with a dress. I have also seen many women wear boots with a skirt too. It just all depends on how you style your outfit up. Everything has to coordinate the correct way. At first, when I saw this kind of style, I thought that it was tacky, but I changed my mind, it does look unique. Madonna wore knee high boots with her skirts too in the early 1980's. This was a style back then.It still is now too.

I love the combination but then again it could be that I dress like this.I love wearng knee skirts with punky looking boots.Or even boots with ribbons on them.I dont like wearing dress shoes unless they are really cute and I cant stand heels. So boots with skirts all the way. I never tried it with skirts tho.

One if you like the way you look then it doesn't matter. There will always be people that don't like how you look or what you're wearing. If it's not two sizes too small or too baggy you're good. As for wearing boots with shorts or skirts my daughter does it. I think it's fine as long as you wear the right type of boots.

What's wrong with boots + skirts/shorts? I think they are cute together, I like wearing skirt and boot in the winter.

Yea if you can wear it right and it is matched right it is okay but I can't see myself dressing like that in public anymore because I am older now but I really don't see a lot of girls wearing this sort of thing much anymore except on the television. But I think it is cute if you know how to do it right. I feel the same way I wouldn't want people to be looking at me like that either.
