do you collect stuffs from fastfood chains? Toys and memorabilia...

I used to collect the beanie babies from mcdonalds. If i got something unique from a fastfood chain, i would usually collect those too. I also have collected the coca cola glasses from mcdonalds as well.

I do not usually collect stuff like this unless it's of a brand or movie that I enjoy. It is a good investment to collect these things because in years and years to come they will be even more in value and if you ever did want to sale them you could. Imagine though in years and years when people see these things they'll think "Wow I wish I had gotten this." or "wow what a find!".

Well, in the past I have been one who has collected many of the Toys from the Fast Food places, and even did not ever open some of them. I have had some of the 101 Dalmations, some of the Barbie toys, etc. I remember back in the day having the McDonalds rubiks cube, etc. and really wish I still had the rubiks cube, but that was from back in the day when I was growing up.

yes, i had 2 big boxes when i moved here. then due to arguments over room, i ended up yard selling them for 5 bucks for a big box anyway, i kept a few i liked and gave a bunch to my grandkids also. i still get them and give them to grandkids.

I do have but only a few. I only collect the ones I only like. We just don't have enough space at home to put those collectibles. It should be fun collecting it when you have a hobby of collecting stuff and when you have enough space at home to put it.

I do, but not for me, for my younger sisters. I remember buying around 5 or 6 Mcdonald happy meals for take out because it was exams week and my younger siblings were told to stay at home to study. As a treat, i surprised them with the Disney 'Cars' toys :D I'd like to do it again sometime :) I miss them :)

When I was little, there were several series of toys that I remember collecting all of. They mostly came from Hardees, as I recall. There were the Ghost Blasters from the Ghostbusters movies (which even the girls liked). I collected all of them, but I no longer have them. I think they stopped working after a certain period of time. Then there were the Pound Puppies. I collected all of those as well and still have them. I have all my other kids meal toys too; they are in a big plastic jar in my closet. I cannot say I collect them, however. Once I hit thirteen, I felt a bit too old for kids meals and I thought that was the only way you could get one of the toys. I don't buy them extra either though I did do the McDonalds Monopoly once. There have been several occasions when someone slipped a toy into my order by mistake and I have kept thoes. I always though such collections were interesting though. Some people's collections are just amazing.

I used to this when i was a kid. I used to collect all their collectibles when a new one comes out. I still do this today but only with car collectibles of gas stations because they are somewhat better to collect than toys.

Hi Chiyosan! I'm curious if you have collected all 101 dalmatians? Wow you must have eaten lots of happy meals just to have your collections. My only collection from McDonalds is their Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel set. They come in pairs and I collected them all. I never collected from fast food chains but when I saw them I said to myself I just got to have them. Good thing a sister of my friend is working at McDonalds so I was able to buy some of them without actually purchasing the meal. Saved me a lot of happy meals.

I do not collect those items from fastfood chains. I do not collect toys and memorabilia. I do not even need toys because I do not have kids that play with toys.

i used to collect toys from food chains too, when my kids are still young. but when they stop asking for it, maybe they change their toy preference, i stop collecting. i even gave those toys from the charities. at least there is some kids who can enjoy it too =)

I have the 101 Dalmations Christmas decorations! I still put them up on the tree every year. When I was younger, I loved the beanie babies and had to go to McDonald's every Friday to get the new one. Now that I'm older, not really..

I used to like them when I was still a little girl. Especially when McDonald's had that Hello Kitty dolls. :) Very pretty stuffs, in my opinion for that age. Haha. But I never collected, my parents won't allow me. :| But these days, I still sometimes buy them. But not for me, for my younger brother. He enjoys them. I personally think that toys from fastfood chains are of good quality, so I don't regret buying them.

i dont collect things like that its kinda interesting but not so for me.. maybe if its for my son any toy would be a great collection for him but as for me im fond of collecting hard bound books,novels,notebooks.ages ago,i managed to collect post stamps from different countries but i stop when i move to college..and now im starting collecting stuff toys,the big ones!

I used to collect stuffs or collector's items. I am a Hello Kitty fan and I collect everything that has Hello Kitty on it. When McDonalds has Hello Kitty stuff collection, I also bought those stuff.

hello chiyosan, When my kids are smaller ones ,they always go for that collections. But when they've grown ups,they had given away their toys to their small cousins. Now my kids are collecting stuff toys of "panda" I don't know why they find "panda" so cute and they're collecting small and big pandas.

The only things that I collect from fast food chains are receipts, and business cards (calling cards) of the staff and owners of those businesses for future networking.

I never collected stuff from fast food chains as a child, but I do know some of those items are super rare. I mean take a look on eBay, apparently loads of people collect them. The toys they used to give when I was a kid in the 80s seem a heck of a lot better then the stuff they give out today. I heard they were trying to do away totally with giving out toys in happy meals instead they were gonna give like fruit cups and nutritious stuff because of the whole obesity problem. I say hold on to your collection, Collecting stuff is always fun and its awesome to have a hobby!

I do not like toys like that, but my kids like it, so who has the toy collection like it was my child .., hehehe

I collected mabey like 3-5 years ago but now i have stoped this and all my stuff i got from mcdonalds and from others fast food stores i have stored in my room into big box :D Anyone remembers Tazo's? i remeber that we got them from chips and i have alot of them stored :D they are about Digimon and other that time famous Japan cartoons :D
