I'm talking about bout down right messy people. It could be from messy eaters, messy cooks, all and all messy people. I have a family like this. I love them to death, but I dislike the fact that my mom is such a messy cook! She leaves things every where, and because I hate looking at it (btw i'm a keep my kitchen clean, kind of freak lol) so I just clean up after her. I know, I know, she cleaned up after me when I was in diapers but thats different. And my brother is just a messy eater, he just chew like a horse that can't keep his mouth close lol. Do you have any experiences like this?? Do share!!

Oh, I grew up in this kind of household. When I still lived with them, only I and my other brother have the sense to tidy up the house (the kitchen, especially) when it's messy and dirty. I remember that we grew up having househelp, so they just kind of got used to someone doing everything for them. I didn't mind so much until I got my own job and got really busy. I still go home about once or twice a month, and only one brother is now living with the parents (the messy one, not the orderly one), so every chance I get, I go scrub their bathroom and floors. But, at least they're not as messy as they used to be.

My family only has specific messes lol. My mom with her cooking and leaving a mess is just about it. We didn't have house help, but our house is always well kept. We still have everything working and in functioning, no holes in the walls nothing like that lol.

Oh, goody for you. At least it's just a specific spot. My mum and dad are hopelessly messy people and that's why they get along well enough because in their mess, they know whose mess is what. And I keep wondering at that. The house is currently being refurbished so they've got pretty floors and walls. I keep telling them to keep them that way (with a hint that I will be scrubbing for them no more.)

some male members in our family is really so messy when eating... its really tiring to pick up the mess they leave after eating and/or reminding them to clean their place when eating... at the end I am still the one needs to adjust to their mannerisms...

I think its ok to be a little messy as long as you clean up after yourself sooner or later. Meaning you room in particular. Eating and cleaning down you mess only take a few minutes so there should be on problem in doing so. But men will me men, can't live with or without them lol.

well, may be not about messiness because my family is quite tidy... but other things like tardiness and procrastination... i dislike it so much... but i learn that i have to accept people as who they are as they are unique creations by God and to concentrate not on their shortcomings but on their good points... take care and have a nice day...

I accept people for who they are and I'm not just trying to point out faults in everybody because I have a few myself. I'm simply stating things that frustrates me and or things I could live without it. I'm sure even you have been there. I do have a clean family. We have a well kept house its not even 5 years old yet, but when it comes to the kitchen and cooking things could get a little messy. Other than that, people always complement us on our house.

lol, this is actually too funny. Sounds like something I know somebody else would do. Hey, maybe you'll grow out of this phase, maybe not.

I myself am quite messy , and am fining it quite a annoyance now.I used to be able to live in a huge mess in my room and home, but am now breaking the habit.I am finding it difficult to find items I need and if I am organized I am sure that I will have more time in the day as i will spend less time finding items around my room.I am very interested in making my room neat as am a college student , and we all know that they are notorious for messy rooms.I am so busy now and will try to stay up late a few nights to get my self organized as I just cannot keep living like some sort of barn yard animal :).

Well is at least good that you can admit your faults. That is always a great way to start. So changing your habits for the good is always for the best. I don't see anything wrong with being a little messy. As long as you can at least clean up after yourself sooner than later. We all have bad habits of throwing things around lol, but cleaning up and learning from it is always for the best!

I work with some messy cooks! The worst part about that is they usually don't clean up after themselves! Someone else ends up doing it for them! I really don't like that! Most people were I work clean up after themselves. Our baker is a clean freak! She is always cleaning up after herself and sometimes does that with the messy cooks! She can't stand to see anything dirty! So I have seen the bad of both sides of this!

I guess I'm lucky to have a sort of a clean-freak family.:D Well, my father really trained as not to be messy when eating. One time, when he saw my brother eating noisily (mouth's not close) he reprimanded my brother. Now, when I hear someone eating noisily I cannot help but tell him or her to chew or eat the food quietly. Man, you really can't buy class.:) But sometimes, it's fun to be messy. But it takes a lot of effort to clean up. Elk!

well i look at it like this messy people are messy because they want you to know that were there and that they are there. so the mess that your mom makes is to sinply let you know that she cooked and someone else neet to wash the dishes. why? because people like you do not like to see a mess. your brother is the other case he chews with his mouth open because he knows someone is going to talk about the way he is eating. another case could be he or she was never taught to clean as she cook or close his mouth while he eats.

We were all taught to clean and chew with your mouth close that its not an excuse. I'm not trying to point out faults in everybody for I have faults myself. I'm simply stating a few things that i could be without. You do have a good point, and I understand your reasoning, thats for sharing
