What Is One Thing You Have Learned About Here

that you might not have known about before? Was it something about how another Culture lives, about a Religion, someone's job and career they had, their family life, about medical issues, what? Has this helped you to become a better more aware person because of it? Many times looking back the 4 1/2 yrs. that I have been a member now, I think about all of the wonderful people who have chosen to be a member here from time to time, and the many wonderful things I have learned about as well. I have learned about different cultures, religions, and health issues to make me more aware of all the challenges we go thru no matter where we live, and find myself being able to relate no matter how old or where from as well. Truly this is one of the many reasons I continue to enjoy being here. No matter where we come from, how we believe, or what we choose to do in life, there will be people here we can relate with and learn from. Overall even when we have people who might not like us as much and try and run us off, we often find out it could also be problems we're having within ourselves. ~~TINA~~

There are several things actually that I have come to learn and appreciate. Cultures, religions and traditions are the ones that I have come to learn somewhat about. I am grateful for all my worldwide myLot friends who take the time to explain their ways and allow me to explain mine own. I have also learned that no matter who, and or what walk of life many are no different then what I have experienced offline life.

Yes, there are a lot of cultures and beliefs we may learn about from here that we do not get too in life as to where we each are from. I know that it is exciting to be able to communicate and talk with people from all over.

Dear friend, Lots of things I came to know from here, each discussion gives me something to open my mind, to think over something, to know new things, enhance my knowledge. May be the main aspect I got from here is developing myself.

Personally I often think that this is one of the Best things, as it is important to learn to develop yourself, and find out who you really are. Many times what you can talk about in here might be things you never really thought about, and might have been afraid to share and talk about with someone else as well.

Meeting others in person from here would be a wonderful thing, especially if these are not people I already know who I get to become active in here. I guess next time I ever decide to travel anywhere, maybe I should put a message out and see if anyone from here lives close to that area and wanted to meet. Must have been a wonderful experience for sure.

It is nice to know that some myLotters actually have met in person. I never had the chance to personally meet a fellow myLotter since we live in a suburb area here in my country. I don’t even know any myLotter here who lives near where I live. Now I’m curious to know if myLotters in our country do organize meet ups like yours. n_n

There are religions that I've never heard of before. I try to know about a little about as many religions as I can, but there are many, many more out there. I've been here a few years, too. So many things that I've learned. This is a joyous, knowledgeable, and fun place to hang out, to be sure. It's why we've been here so long. It can also be uplifting, boost the the spirits and a great place of learning. So here's to more years for both of us.

All of the above and then some. I have learnt about other cultures, religion, customs, etc. I have also learnt about someone's problems or happiness. I learnt about HTML. I never knew I would be writing HTML Code. Thanks to myLot, specifically to mysD, now I can pretty much do whatever I want with HTML. Most important of all, I learnt that first impression is not always everything.

It can be so interesting to learn about people from other countries, etc. It makes you feel as if you know them even if you live thousands of miles away, and will never have the chance to meet.

Hi Tina, our long tenancy in mylot has made us seasoned mylotters and for me I have boost my confidence in voicing my views on many subjects without fear. At the same breath I've picked up a lot of knowledge from my daily interactions here which also trained me to think intellectually and which greatly benefit my real world life.

That is for sure. There will always be things here that you will feel strongly about and want to voice your opinion on, while at the same time learning about how others from different countries, cultures and religions feel and learn from their experiences in life as well.

I've been here a few years as well and I've learned so much from so many people but I can't remember them off the top of my head however, one does come to mind and that is, chocolate grows on trees. I was dumbfounded when I learned about that! It makes me wonder what else I don't know about! lol I also learned that vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium better. I love mylot! And of course my dear friends!

That is for sure. And where else can you meet someone and feel like you actually know them, and are interested in what is going on, and want to be able to reach out and help them?

Hi KrauseHome, It has been a very long time that I have been so very busy with my work and with my studies. I am missing mylotting very much. I can still remember how addicted I was in this site when I was a beginner. Well, one thing that opened up my mind here in mylot is learning that I am not alone in this world. Most of the time, when I am experiencing problems or difficulties, I feel I am alone. I always become hopeless. I always feel miserable about my life to the extent of wishing I were not born at all. But whenever I start to surf and read post here in mylot, it makes me think that I am not the only one facing problems and difficulties in life. There are more people who are experiencing worse than mine. However, despite the problems and failures they are experiencing, still there are people who are willing to share with his sadness. There are still people who are willing to give comforting words to make you feel that you are not alone. Truly, man cannot live alone by his own. He needs other person to be able to cope up with the different trials that come along.

So True. In here you find so many people that you can relate with, and many who can relate with you. You learn that others go thru these same challenges and you learn how to make life a little easier everyday.

I have learned that there is a place where I can go to make friends from all over the world. I cannot begin to tell you all the things I have learned here. I have laughed and cried with people here. I have shared my fears and my triumphs. I discovered a community all its own. I guess learning I had a place in this community was the best thing that I have learned so far.

I've been active here for a couple of months only. But in that time, being open minded and understanding are the major things that I have learned. I have also learned a lot of facts that I never knew before about places, culture, religion, politics, and a lot more. Another good thing is that I can share the ideas and facts that I got here to my friends who are not members. And they get to learn something from me. n_n

I think the thing that comes first to my mind is that even though we are having a difficult time in our economy, to other people we are very well off. I learn that it is not uncommon to not own a car, or to wake up very early and commute long distances to get to very low paying jobs. I have enjoyed the windows on the world, and learning about other people all the way around.

I learned that the lamb has risen9 I had wondered about that), I Learned about rare diseases I had never heard of before. Learned about people's lives in other areas of the world. How people felt/feel about different aspects of life.

And through mylot, we have the chance to know different countries and races culture. Sometimes i feel like to visit some country when i read their comment. I do enjoy here. Cheers..
