In this life we all dream to be successful, to achieved our goals no matter how it takes. Sometimes not for ourselves but for those who are important to us. But what if you are on the 4th to 5th year of your career and your dreams are starting to fade, you feel so tired and started to lose dedication on the job you love to do 4 years ago? what's the best thing to do? Do you think giving up will be the right decision?

Hi.. I'm on my 3rd year last n0vember & I feel like giving up last tuesday. Like you, I'm getting tired of same routine. Though I wanna quit, I still have no choice but to continue.

That is absolutely right, it is our mindset, because if you let this one go, think first. because we are so lucky comparing to those who are jobless at this moment. We keep on holding on that we are blessed and instead of giving up, learn to love this job again, until we felt again the same feeling that we have now.

Yeah I get very tired because it seems like no matter how hard I try it seems like I am getting nowhere just say like a New Years Resolution maybe to get a better career or even to be healthier, but it never seems to work because it seems like something always gets in the way, but No!! Giving up is not the answer at all you have to keep moving ahead no matter how hard it is or how tired you get! Believe me I am tired so tired of seeming like I am getting nowhere but I keep moving forward until I can find what it is that I am looking for, no matter how tired i get I have to keep going and so should you, Life is too short to waste all that time on what you have learned take it and use it to your advantage! And if it doesn't work in a certain place where you are and you are not happy take that knowledge elsewhere and use and and see if it works for you, believe me I am tired so tired of seeming like I am getting nowhere but I keep moving forward!! The key word here my friend is "MOTIVATION" Good Luck and don't give up!! Have a good day! Life is too short remember that too.

Thanks for that, appreciate it, but what if when your motivations are the one who make you feel discouraged?

In this case, I think maybe you should check your motivation carefully, consider all the details and if the "motivation" still discourage you, it had already not your motivation. So, what about change a motivation which you want to put effort to?

I have the same problem eversince i started working. I wake in the morning with full energy and then the end of the day i will on my less potential. I get tired too, who are not? The reason we get tired is that, for example, in our regular job, we do things the same all the time. It became a routine and a habit. We feel lazy because there is no changes on what we are doing. In order for us to be on the go, again, is to ask ourself if we want our situation right now? do we like the way our life situated, can we achieve our dreams by doing the same thing? we need to change our routine in order to change our moods and to change our decisions and ideas. It all started with the choice. If we are contented with what we are now, then let us do what we ordinary do, but if we are not, then let us face change, change our routine and habit. The only right advice i can give you is to never give up and finish what you are started. You have to be glad you are healthy, you work, you still decide. Do not wait for the time that you grow old, less healthy, then you will start to change. You will not enjoy the fruit of your success. Wake up now and start changing your attitude and do what you have to do and start what you need to started.

Beautiful, Yeah, this is all right. So I think I start to change. Although the job helps a lot to me, I still can't help to think of moving to another career, especially if you feel your not happy anymore.

IF i start to lose dedication to my job, i would take a break, away from it. In the first place, i join the company because of my passion and interest in my area of work. If i were to lose them, it's going to be very difficult for me to pick myself up again, as that's supposed to be my most confident area. In order to continue to pursue my dreams, it's better to take a short break, try something new, yet maintaining the passion of old.

I'm not loosing my hope if it was happen to me. For the sake of my family i will try hard to gain that job again. I know my family support me, and God is always there for us. I know He will help us! Even i am too tired to my life because of my family who still give me strength to pursue my dreams for my self and for them i will never lose hope!

Absolutely, never lose hope. But the word giving up means find another job or career, so that I'm not going to wake up that i only knew 1 job, right?

If continuous stress has you feeling disappointed, vulnerable, and completely worn out, you may be suffering from burnout. When you’re burned out, problems seem insoluble, everything looks dreary, and it’s difficult to meet up the energy to care let alone do something about your condition. The sadness and detachment burnout causes can threaten your job, your relationships, and your health. But burnout can be mended. If you identify the signs and symptoms of burnout in its early stages, simple stress management strategies may be sufficient to solve the problem. In the later stages of burnout, healing may take more time and effort, but you can still recover your balance by reassessing your priorities, making time for yourself, and seeking support.

I've stay in my career for almost 7 years now, there are times that I feel like want to give up and start to loss my interest.I felt stagnant and stuck it feels I wanna try something new and start something which can boost my interest and dedication. Sometimes life and career are just to boring to get into the same routine everyday. But we need to think that career bored itself because we don't truly appreciate what it brings to us. In your case I suggest to have a break sometimes and give yourself a treat, revive your interest and dedication.Yourself need simply a bit relaxation.Try to have think of something your career brings in the last few years and think what gonna be the outcome if you just giving up of what you've started? Stay still don't give up, you just need a break to gain your interest back. Be firm, giving up is not the solution its a total loss. Good luck and Have a nice day ahead.

We all look to a mystical fictitious end-point called "Success" and end up losing the joy and fun of the "journey". Yes, the journey is tough. If you give up now, you lose your past efforts, unless you have really started to feel burn-out from the whole process and decide that the end point is not longer important. If not, I would encourage you to persist. It might just take a few more steps, maybe some falls but the effort and falls make the end goal all the sweeter when you get closer to it. Will you ever reach it? You have to decide for yourself.

hi waterproffpaper, Success is a sweet taste for us. It's a recognition when we achieved it. It makes us feel good and get us going. But if you feel the other way round, you are in fact, not happy with the work you're doing because you're not passionate enough about it. I'm always searching for the things I like to do in life. Your dreams arent fading. you're just tired and missing some points of directions. Work can be routine. Maybe the sparks have gone south. Good luck to you.

Take a little break to think and weigh things down. Always keep your focus. If you have some options, try to do this for a little while, until you make up your mind. But as Johny Walker said ... "keep walking" ... till you reach your goal.

Maybe you need to ask yourself, what did you love about the job 4 years ago that your tired of now. It could be you're burned out. Giving up on your dream is not the answer. But it could be you need some time off to collect your thinking and to rest yourself.

I would change job or starting my own business if I have the means. Find motivation in a present company would be hard, especially when it is not only involve ourselves but environment, the boss, the colleagues, and the works itself.
