Paybox changed its name to Virtapay a while back. You should be able to login to virtapay.com with your old information and see your balance. Not much has been happening there in April, but they say their next step is to build relationships with some select merchants so we can spend our balances. It's good that you realize your balance was in virtual money and not US dollars...that confused a lot of people and may be one reason the site's name has changed ("virta" sounds like virtual).

Simple. The creator got in way over his head and decided to shut down before he had to pay millions of dollars out that no one earned. I never fell for that, sadly, numerous people did and are disappointed.

oh i see... so that's why I can't access the site anymore, i thought it's just another server or connection problem ^_^, O well, I did not invest or expected anything, though I'm a little (just a little) disappointed too. Thanks for the info Kris. :D

Hello Rajeev, Did you know that they recently (maybe a few weeks ago) changed its name to Virtuapay? (or something that sounds like that) and now they are back to their original Paybox name. Still don't know why the temporary change... Anyway, I also felt that way about paybox but I still joined since registration is free and I don't have to provide too much information. In short, i have nothing to lose, so why not. I now have over $2,000 virtual money there but I'm not expecting it be equivalent to $2,000 actual money as they already made it clear in one of their blogs that it is not like that, though they did not specify the actual equivalent in USD. So for now "it's just wait and see" for me. ^_^

I'm a member of this site since last year. So far, my virtual balance is $ 4,600+. I said virtual balance, because nobody knows what is the equivalent of that amount in our real money. And now they change it to virtapay, which they reason out that to improve the quality of service before it become available to public. But, i guess this one is scam, you can find that in many forums on the web.
