I think test cricket will be around for a while but I don't think that limited over cricket will. 20/20 will take over from limited over cricket or 50 over a side game. I would like to see the unlimited day test games come back and see how these batters today can handle a 6th or 7th day wicket like Bradman did when he averaged nearly 100. That is the real measure of todays cricketers vs the past ones.

It is a good approach which ICC thought about. A day night test match. Plus pink or some other coloured ball. They can make some new rules to make sure that the match won't end up in a dull draw. A result is always welcomed. Coloured dresses and playing less dot balls can be applied like if you play more than 20 dot balls or if you strike rate is less than 35 than you will have to pay some penalty. But ICC test championship which has already been applied, a cut off on 31st March ends as No. 1 position. I would like ICC to arrange for a world cup with 8 countries for world champion decider of test format too. What do you say ?

I think the rise of India and decline of Australia really bodes well for Test Cricket. If the interest of Test cricket increases in India the sport will revive big time. Also because of the decline of Australia, the days of domination of one team is over and the other teams are now back in it. This makes it more interesting and revives the interest back.
Cheers!

The power in cricket has shifted to the sub continent andthe success of the sub continental teams has been like a shot in the arm for the game. Let us now look at what ipl achieves. The participating teams are guaranteed returns that is why the huge interest in the game from the big corporates. The game has to re discover it self in England so that the money flows in. If Pakistan can come back into the game i mean if games are played there too then there will be no looking back.
Since India is the no. 1 team in tests the popularity will go up. Supposing India wins the T-20 next year this game will be indeed very big. even odi seems to have picked up thanks to dhoni and his men.
