On Wednesday, the boat from Indonesia, was hijacked while sailing off the coast of Somalia. There are some crew, who were arrested. Pirates demanding ransom very much. I did not expect, this happens. The family crew, very worried about their families. To free them, it takes a lot of money. As an Indonesian, I really hope, all the Indonesian people and government, can help release them from pirates.

I am sorry to hear about that. I am not from Indonesia and I feel for those held captive. I hope the government can assist to free these people. It must be truly harrowing for their families. I will keep them in my prayers. I hope if the pirates are caught they are adequately punished. What an awful ordeal. I will pray for the safety of the crew.

The UN is powerless to deal wth the pirates. All they will do is send letters of protest and warn other countries to be nice to the pirates.

I feel for those sailors from your country. There must be something serious done to these people, the Somalians, they should do something good to earn their living and not by illegal means like this.

Our country, has struggled, to free them. What should be done is to prepare a ransom.

Saddening to think that if they raise the money that perhaps this type of crime will continue because the criminals feel that it is an easy way to get money. In the meantime the poor people suffering while being kidnapped must really be scared and frightened. I so hope they can freed soon, unharmed and the pirates caught for such an awful act.

It is time that some one or some country put a stop to this piracy. This is the 21st century, not the 16th. Since the pirates seem to be immune to prosecution by their government, who will be willing to put a stop to this? It seems that it is something that the UN should handle, but they are busy elsewhere right now.
