Are YOU prepared?

With the current disaster that has been happening all around the world, are you prepared? What are the steps that you taking to be prepared for any eventualities? I for one had created a list of things to buy every payday like medicine and food. Knowing the exit point in our building is another thing.

I believe that if it's my time to go then so be it. As for checking for fire exits/escape routes in a building, that should always be the first thing that everyone should know especially if they work/live in that building.

I believe in putting greater emphasis on spiritual preparedness rather than physical preparedness. Anything we do to try and preserve our physical bodies will be futile. What happened to Japan is a good demonstration of this. We can not keep disasters from happening. Only God can. God has written all the days of our lives in His book, He knows everything that will ever happen to us, He knows the number of our days and the number of every hair on our head. However, this does not mean that we will neglect doing something to prepare for disasters. Flashlights, whistles, food, water, AM radio, batteries or better yet crank type chargers, and cellphones are some of the things that should come in handy during emergencies. I hold on to the promise of God's word in Psalm 91: 11 "For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go." Such a promise gives peace in times of trouble.

I agree with you. Meditate regularly and hand over your fears and worries to your maker and then go about your preparations to withstand and survive natural and man made disasters.

No matter how well prepared you are there is no escape from a natural disaster such as an earthquake or tsunami. All the food and medicine in the world cannot protect you. Better to work with the authorities to help others than selfishly think only of yourself.

With all the life changing calamities that are occurring sporadically, those must be our signals that we should always be prepared. Have a little stock in the cupboard, clear the pathway to the exit door, keep the cellphones charged at all times, and remember the desperation prayers... Don't worry redeemer, God will not allow those things to happen to us if we tell Him to spare us.

I used to prepare like that but then i learn from the Japanese when that 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami hit them. They were prepared for earthquakes they were very much prepared for that disaster and yet look what happened? They were taken by surprise. I believe that how much you prepare isn't the solution, because one way or another disaster will come unexpectedly, and doesn't mean you're prepared means you're safe. Though i say, good for you that you're prepared (",)

Yes, because I am not connected to anything ... well, not so connected as to keep me tied down!
