which indian credit cards are accepted by paypal ?

Paypal India do not take Debit Card. I have tried to add debit card before and I failed. I also know few people saying they cannot add debit card. However, that should not be a problem as you have your bank account. WHy not just use that? You don't need any card. You can use your SBI account or Syndicate Bank account. I don't use any card in my Paypal account, just my bank account details. You can verify with your bank account. Credit Card: As long as it is Visa, MasterCard, American Express,etc. it does not matter. Unless you need credit card for some other purpose, you don't need credit card just for Paypal. I have never heard of such thing - that you cannot use Indian Credit card on International site. I have used my Indian Credit Card, and also used my husband's UK credit card, both work perfectly fine. The currency should not be a problem. Your credit card company will do the exchange and charge you the amount in the INR value - though the exchange rate are never good. The only problem you may face - paying with Indian Credit Card on International site - may be that if the site is listed as a Foreign country, your credit card company may not allow it to prevent fraud. i have verified my paypal account successfully using syndicate bank account and even transfer money from paypal to bank account i too tried to add debit card there but i think they don't accept it though they say we can add debit card i don't know whether they accept any other debit or credits card but if you are looking to just verify your paypal account then try to get it done by bank account

I am also not sure which credit card paypal is accepting. But there is a difference between a debit card and a credit card, so like you, I have also failed to used my Axis Bank and SBI debit Card for verifying my paypal a/c. Then I used VCC and verified my paypal a/c. But last month I used my Axis Bank Debit Card with paypal and on the statement noticed that Paypal debited an amount again credited the amount. That means payapl verified my account again. So try to use VCC first.

Hi angelsilver, I understand your problem. The same problem myself also encounters. I am a paypal 'verified' account holder. But now to add funds to buy referrals from paypal, they (paypal) ask to submit the credit card number. This is because of new rules implemented by paypal and Reserve Bank of India.RBI directed paypal not to use paypal funds for transactions. The funds shall be transferred to the Indian bank account within 7days. So this may be a problem for Indians only, I think.If you are submitting the credit card to the paypal, they will deduct the amount of transaction from that.This problem can be solved with Indian and paypal authorities themselves.
