What kind of food do you feed your cats?

I usually feed my cats dry cat food as it's supposed to be better for their teeth. Occassionally give them treats of soft food and other cat treats. I've sometimes fed them some left over meat from my own dinner that I've been unable to finish and they seem to love it. My research has revealed that cats get the majority of their nutrients from meat so they should be fed whenever possible with a high-meat/high-protein diet.
What kind of food do you tend to feed your cats?

I don't have any cats now, but with my last cat I gave him dry cat food. I'd also give him turkey whenever I'd go to my favorite restaurant. He loved it so much.
Happy mylotting!

This subject has been of particular interest to me. I even made a discussion about cat/pet foods. Here is a portion of my OP.
....so many different cat foods. I had an animal nutritionist tell me that even the worse canned cat food would benefit my cat better than the best of the dry kibble-type cat foods. So, being the skeptic that I am, I just had to follow that up with my own investigations. And, come to find out, the dry foods are chok-full of carbohydrates, are too low in water content and too high in plant proteins. The cat would have to drink amounts of water WITH their food in order to hydrate. The cat doesn't need plant proteins, they are carnivores ---- They need and want meat, meat, and more meat. Mother Nature made them like that. Their stomachs aren't made to handle the plant proteins.
My cat has allergies, both food allergies and air-bourne allergies. So, I've had to read up a lot on the various cat foods, canned and dry. When I was doing a ton of research, I came across http://www.catinfo.org/ and I then switched my cat to canned foods. She has become perkier and more playful. She is getting more than adequate hydration as I can see her urinating more and her stools aren't as hard. She's not pestering me to be fed every hour or every two hours as she once did.
I always taste my cat's food now when I change brands (IF I change brands). By tasting I can tell if the food has too much salt or too much sugars or is mealy or corn-ey. I buy just a can or two at first to give it the taste test by myself and my cat. I've learned to read the contents on the label and tasting can also help verify those contents.
Better nutrition makes for a happier and healthier cat and therefore a happier and better informed cat owner.
Since that discussion I have found a website that sends me regular updates about what is going on with the makers of our commercial cat foods. It is here

I think you will find it most helpful in helping you to choose the best kind of food for your fur babies.

I feed my cats a mi of a holistic dry food and a holistic wet food as i have 3 male cats the wet food is much healthier for them as it increases there water intake and helps prevent urinary tract problems as well as wet food has more nutritional valu then the dry kibble. I do have dry kibble out all the time as that way they can eat when ever they like i feed them a high quality holistic cat food with no corn, by-products of fillers in it for optimal health. If we have left over meat i give them some and every now adn then I give them treats

Hello,
I have 7 cats at home, and i prefer give them a fish, but sometimes i give whiskas. But, my little cats usually eat fish than some dry cat foods, they can't eat them, i think the structure of the food, make my cats feel difficult to eat, but for sarden type they want. I have 2 kitten and they are 5 month now.
