I got a Kindle in February as a late Vday gift from my boyfriend. I had wanted a Nook Colot so badly but that costs over $250 so he settled for the lower priced Kindle. Well, let me tell you, I am in love with my device. I now realize that though it does not have the touch color screen, or as many things as the Nook, it's still the best reader around. Amazon makes it so affordable to get so many titles, I have about 60 I have gotten free. 20 I have paid for that were only .99, and about 12 games, all were .99 or less. The books that have cost me the most have been the ones I have bought for my 4 year old, those have all cost me 3.99.
I love my Kindle and though I still go to the library to get all the new books, because I will not pay more than 2.00 for an e-book, I still have so much reading material and so many games. It's really a great device.
Do you have a Kindle or do you not care about ereaders at all?

Yes, I have a Kindle. It's a great device. I've purchased 22 books so far. Mainly free classics or .99 cent books. Although I did get a gift card, so I splurged on a few $5.00 books. But, I still like to read paper books as well. I think I'll probably use the library and Bookswim (where I rent books like Netflix)for reading paper books, and the Kindle for when I want to have a book to keep. Although, I'll probably still buy the occasional book if I go to the bookstore. Sometimes I see a book and can't resist. But, I will be doing a lot of Kindle purchases. It saves space.

I got my Kindle as a Christmas gift from my in-laws. I love it. I have purchased only one book so far - for £4.99, but the rest, I got them for free. I have downloaded a lot of Classics from gutenberg project website.
I love reading and I still think that printed books are still better, but Kindle (or any e-reader) is so convenient when you travel. Though I don't travel a lot, I do travel at least once a year and well, my main use of Kindle is for our Sunday swim. We go to a swimming pool every Sunday and I use the time to relax and catch up on my reading. Before I had my Kindle, I never bothered taking a book because there is little room in the bags with the kids swimming gears, towels, sunscreen, etc. With Kindle not taking much space with lots of books in it is ideal for me.
The disadvantage for me is the lack of backlight, and the page turn button on the side...it is very easy to press that by accident. I would also like it if there is a way to easily scroll the page.
I am definitely eying Ipad now, as I want the flexibility that Ipad has.

I was leaning towards the Nook Color as well and the Ipad; thought about buying them all but got discouraged on that and bought the Kindle in February. Great purchase too; I dont worry about book copies unless it's not going to be on Kindle initially; I had a book I really wanted to go on Kindle but sadly,it wasn't due to go on there for some time. I have a nice collection now and I am so glad I bought one and I plan to get the others with time.

Hate eReaders. I make no distinction between Nook or Kindle or whatever else is out there... if it's an electronic tablet that claims to be a book then I hate it. They are the destroyers of bookstores, the squishers of libraries, the invitation to book piracy, and the push to depend entirely on technology. Nope. I'm not buying one.
I'm an avid reader, and I LOVE books. I don't want print books to ever end. I don't think we should be so dependent on technology. So I'm being a rebel and hating on eReaders.

I love reading but Im not using kindle as I my son has an iPad and I bought myself an iPad 2 which has yet to come. But yes reading books is just one of my hobbies and to read them conveniently on an iPad is really great. It's like having a library of books in one device and I love audio books as well.

I love my little kindle very much. The screen is so good. It has never hurt my eyes before.

I care because I have a novel out on Kindle and it's only 99 cents. It's also out on print.

I just got a kindle myself and I like it so far. I have quite a few books already but I still like have a book in my hands. I have learned that it's not very good for bible studying though. If I need to flip to a certain chapter and verse quicker, books are much faster and easier to use.
