I melted the white chocolate that said bark coating on it in the microwave last night and dipped the strawberries in it and it was so good!!!! But I don't understand I put the chocolate in the fridge last night and it is hard as a brick now even when I was cleaning last night the fork I was stirring with stuck to the plate because it turned so hard is that supposed to happen? If I microwave it will it melt again?

I would thing heat of any kind can melt ice, so go right in there and apply some hit. As to whether it will be as yummy ast it was, is another question though.

I would try to melt it again but not on a high temp or long amt of time just so the consistancy stays the same. I have not tried fresh fruit dipped in chocolate. It looks good but I don't think I'd care for it.

You don't have to put it back in the microwave but just keep it outside and in a couple of hours it will be soft as silk.

hey there,
Your chocolate will totally melt if you turn your microwave settings to defrost. But i would recommend, you melt you chocolate in a pan over stove. I don't consider heating the same thing over and over again in a microwave a healthy option. I don't know if it is true or not but re-heating things in microwave over and over can be a reason for cancer.
Did not want to freak you out but just giving some suggestion.

Hi. jahernandezrivas. I know that when I put a chocolate bar into the fridge when it is melting, it will eventually get very hard like a rock. I know that if you microwave the chocolate it should melt. I think that you should just set it on the defrost setting and let it melt. Also make sure that you monitor the chocolate so that it won't overheat.

I loooooooove strawberry dipped in chocolate! I think that it is one of the best, simplest desserts ever. Yes, it's supposed to freeze after you put it in the fridge. It's natural state is solid, so it goes back to solid in cold temp. And, yes, everytime I put chocolate in the fridge, it becomes very hard. I do this often because in our tropical climate, chocolate melts real quick!

Yes if you stick it back in the microwave it will melt again. What I would probably do is try and carefully slick a portion and melt that. Somehow re-melting to me is a bit of waste to keep doing because it will stick to the plate/bowl you are using. So carefully cut a chunk and re-heat then enjoy.
