to have the curl hair treatment at the salon? I have done that before and the curl lasted for about half year. Right now I have a very long straight hair, I'm getting bored with it, I want a new hair style. I'm thinking about having it curled but it probably caosts me more than a hundred dollars for my long hair. Would you do it if you were me?

My hair is thick straight and down my back and understand on how sometimes it can be a bit boring to have the same style and or tie up because we do not know what to do with it. If you can afford it and can entrust the stylist I would say go for it. Some hair stylists do a great job while some can ruin our hair. I do get mine styled and or highlighted from time to time but I get mine done for free being that I still have my perks and absolutely love the changes from time to time.

Can we have an exchange here? Well, I do not have that long hair today but I will have them that long. But unfortunately, they are getting curly towards the ends and I need them straight. Wife suggests - cut them off and they will grow straight - but I am not sure. I think there are a lots of styles that can go with the hair when they are straight but as you see, I am not a woman and so maybe I cannot think like one... poor me

But still, I think I should go with my GFs and wife's advice. What do you think? As I mentioned, they are mostly straight just get curled atthe ends right now

I believe if you slightly trim it about every 6 - 8 weeks it helps so that it can grown longer and straighter.

It will be worth if you look beautiful with your new hair style. Before permanent you must do it temporaly. Then you can be sure how you will look like. And if you look beautiful then the money will be worth. Hope you will like the idea. Have a good time!

The permanent one is not even permanent so I won't worry about that and I have done it myself plenty of times, I think just of the matter the size of the curls tha tI have to pick.

So you know how you will look like. As you again decide to curl means before you look batter with it. So it will be worth in my opinion.

Halu mermaidivy, i suggest you to be your own stylist of your hair, you should buy curls,so that when you want curly hair you should do it by your self,do it and leave for 30minutes 0r one hour it depends upon the style of curl you want,.do it at night before going to bed if you are a office worker, but if you are just staying in the house you can do it before do the house hold works.it is cheaper and your hair is safe from chemicals, and you can have different hair style everyday.that's what im doing, hehe. but of course except if cutting of hairstyle you want.but it's better have a long hair becoz by having long hair you can do many hairstyle, try to also discover some kinds of ponytail hairstyles.for having good hairstyle and have a good look everyday thanks GOD BLESS

ACtually, I have those curl thingy that I can make it at home but my hair is way long and think that it takes forever to make the hair style or one side will look good and the other side will look crappy.

Personally I guess for me, I would be weighing the Pros and the Cons to decide which is your Best option to take. It is common knowledge that Beauticians charge a lot more for longer hair as it takes them more solution and hand power when it comes to doing things like Perms for sure. I know the ones they do usually last longer for sure. For me if it was me, I would be doing some checking around and make sure it is someone you know does a Good job. Might even check around first to see what else is out there for price as well. Either way a expensive perm usually ends up being the cheapest and Best in the long run.

I think they do charge extra for long hair like I do. I would definitely go to a salon that I have known for a while at least for the quality part, it is probably expensive for better quality.

hi mermaid ivy go for it as some long hair looks lovely with curls in it,. Here we pay just fifty dollars for a perm. I wear my white hair long even though I am elderly as I think I look better with it long than short, If you want curls go for it as they will not last for ages and its will be a change for you.I had one friend who had long hair in ringlets and it was so flattering to her face,. try it you mi ght like it.

i keep getting bored of same hair style, i have bit curly hairs. Its not those small curls, i have big curls and they kinda look nice on me but whenever i shampoo my hair volume increases twice the normal i have and i find it very irritating. Whenever i bored of same style i straighten my hairs with hair iron, cut a side bang or go for different hair cut.But never for anything permanent as i don't know whether i will get the result i expect and i will surely get bored of straight hair in a week.

It says permanent but it is not even permenent. I did it once, I was expecting some large curl but it ended up to be some tiny curl so I was very upset and felt ugly with my hair.

hello ivy, Long straight hair are always good to see and you can even make more styles with it. Perming can cause some hair damage too. It is your choice if you want to permed your hair. But if i were you,i would rather keep that long straight hair and just do some styling with it. I also have a long hair with a little wavy, just a little on the front that when i comb it,it always follows to any direction that i want. I simply tied it as pony ,a bit loose and above my head to have a younger looks. Or have it braided or just hang loose and put some clips. But mosts of the time i want to tuck it clean to have a formal looks.

Hi memaidivy. I really envy girls especially if they have beautiful hair, but I prefer the long and straight hair.My wife used to have hers long and straight but now she like it short .She said she prefers it short because it's easy to manage. I guess having straight hair is also an advantage, you can have it in many styles that you prefer but you said you get bored sometimes, just have it done by an expert.

A lot of the women cut their hair short when once they have baby or when they are getting old but not me, I definitely will keep my long hair.

As me, natural is always the best. So, if your hair is not sick, you should keep them naturally.

i suggest you go to a trusted salon.. you can also ask some of your friends if they can recommend a salon where you can go to get the best results for a treatment that you want.. also if you go to an experienced salon the people there will suggest styles that will suite you best.. sometimes a good new haircut is all that you need.. :)
