The internet is so powerful and just now I learned that Sanyo has made a bread maker which it can make the bread by rice rather than the wheat. I have never tasted the bread made of rice before. The rice bread also looks great. It will be convenient to make the bread with rice because rice is quite common in my country.

hi useless must be rice flour as cooked rice would make gummy mess. I have never tried that nor tasted it. I wou ld love to know how it tastes.I loved good whole grain bread and its hard to find really good whole grain bread so please let us know when you make some with rice flour. I realize rice is very common in your country but that make it with lots of other things with it and that is usually really Delicious. I had some brown rice with baked chicken for lunch and it really was delicious. It had a nice nutty flavor to it.I also like jasmine rice that smells like popcorn.

I checked the rice bread maker and it's quite expensive now. So if I have to try to make such kind of bread, I have to buy the rice flour

Rice Burger - Yakiniku Rice Burger by Mos Burger
Hatley, I wonder if your place has got a Japanese fast food known as Mos Burger where they are famous for their Yakiniku (Stir fried beef) Rice Burger. I can assure you that it is quite a refreshing idea from the conventional breaded counterparts.

It is a nice innovation by Sanyo, although we Indians already make a kind of flat bread using only rice flour, which is first slightly cooked on a flat girdle and then roasted well over open fire. It is kind of like wheat chapati if any of you have ever had before. But it will be nice to eat regular bread made of rice using this gadget too.

That would be interesting and healthful as well. Some people are allergic to other grains. I wonder how it works. I will have to look it up.

I checked it out. You can just put the rice, water, yeast etc. inside and this bread machine can fix it. But this bread machine is very expensive

I will look at it and then think about it when it has been on the market a while. I have a good bread machine, but not one that will make bread from rice, and I like rice.

Rice Burger - Yakiniku Rice Burger by Mos Burger.
youless, I am actually no stranger to rice burgers as it is being promoted by a Japanese fast food chain - Mos Burger where their reputed burgers happens to have a Yakiniku Rice Burger. The burger uses rice in place of the normal bread coated with beef gravy and have fried beef slices and dressings for the fillings. It is quite appetizing and much refreshing an idea to conventional bread burgers. Hope you don't find the picture too mouth watering though.

I'm glad that it will be of great value to you. I only like chicken fried rice. I could eat that every day. We order it from a local restaurant because I just love the taste of theirs.

This is the first rice bread machine in the world. So perhaps it is why it is still so expensive now.

I've never heard of using rice to make bread. Though I am not surprised at it is part of the grain family and I believe there is rice flour so why not?

I am sure they mean rice flour and it is nice. I like to mix my grains for bread and rice flour adds a smoothness to the bread. Very good. Flour from wild rices make a nuttier taste that I love!

It doesn't use rice flour. Actually you just put the rice inside and they will grain it with water as the dough.

Ive been watching a korean series, the baker king. It was featured there, rice flour instead of wheat in making bread. It is more convenient since its common here. Plus the taste and texture of rice bread are said to be better than the wheat flour. My aunt says rice flour is good to take. She mixes that to my nieces milk formula. She said that children who takes that will grow much smarter and healthier than the other kids.

But this bread machine doesn't use rice flour, you can just put the rice inside directly. This is why it is so convenient.

Rice bread Interesting I never thought of it.What i usually do with my rice flour is to make them into rice cakes or puto in Philippines topped with cheese and steamed, sometimes paired with tablea or hot coco. Im thinking its more softer or fluffier since we will be using rice flour?

the rice cake or rice muffin is different from the conventional shortened cake that uses butter. Its kinda tricky to make because it only uses rice flour, water, milk or coconut milk, baking powder, sugar, salt and anise for flavor. as you can see their is no actual egg those its hard to incorporate air and end up to a dense mess(this is very common in puto making especially for beginners). But some recipe actually add eggs along with the ingredients stated above and it give the proper left to the batter, this method is what i usually use.you need to whip you egg whites first until it reaches stiff peaks then sieve your dry ingredients and mix it with your wet ingredients and fold the whipped egg whites to your batter.then steam it. have a nice day =)...
