It has been a bad thing to me because I can't concetrate in anything

And I thought it was just me... It's so frustrating sometimes. I'll be reading a book and suddenly realize that my mind is wandering and I don't even know what I just read. I guess what I'm reading just isn't that interesting but sometimes it seems like I can be so easily distracted. I have to concentrate and focus on what I'm doing to force my mind back onto it. It doesn't happen to me all the time but when it does, it's frustrating. I feel silly being that easily diverted from what I'm doing. It's actually a little comforting to know it happens to a lot of people though.

Most students face it, the kinda problem you have mentioned. Yeah your mind easily gets diverted into thinking thing that are unnecessary at that point of time. Probably you could calm your thoughts and meditate for a while to help you focus on what you have to do.

I definitely have this problem, which sometimes give me a headache. I usually try to distract myself by listening to my favorite music, drawing, filming makeup videos, reading something, or whatever comes to mind. Don't worry, you're not alone in this. :)

I always do this! One thing leads to you remembering something similar and then you're off thinking about something completely irrelevant to the subject at hand. If anyone does come up with any suggestions send them my way!

I think it happens not only with you. It happens with every one.And that's why the best time to study in the morning. That time your mind will be fresh and you can put your concentration correctly. Other things will not disturb you.
Have a good luck!

HAHA! I have this exact problem. I've always hear you have the attention span of your actual age. For example I'm 21, so I can give my full attention for 21 full minutes. Umm, thinking about it, I'm not sure how true this is. It must stop at a certain age. I'm referring to the elderly, but anyway. If i'm studying and a song pops in my head, i'll just start dancing lol for awhile then when reality checks in, i'm like "oh, im suppose to be studying" lol

haha, i have the same problem and i don't think there is anything you can do about it. Maybe you should try to study in a room where there are no distractions...like the library or something unfamiliar that doesn't bring up memories. You could also try to write notes as you read to keep your focus. I am not sure what you are studying, but if you find something you are interested in to study, that also helps as well. The more boring the material is, the harder it is to focus on it. Reading out loud helps some people as well. I hope your studying gets better!

I do the same thing. Sometimes I think about thing in my past that I don't want to and I drive myself crazy. I have to try and redirect myself and focus on other things. If it really bothers you and causes you a lot of stress, you could try so see someone. It may be a form of anxiety. That's up to you though.
