New IPad 2 ... was it worth it?

I was one of those crazy people that stood in line for over FIVE hours waiting for the Apple Store to open to get my hands on a brand spanking new iPad2 on the first day of release. After standing in line for almost four hours, a representative came by and said all the iPads had been spoken for and there was no reason for me to wait in line any longer. I really didn't have anything better to do that day (I knew it was going to be an all-day affair) so I waited anyway and low and behold there was one left for me! It literally took all day to get my iPad and I love it. It, for me was worth waiting in line for five hours! What about you guys? Any crazy stuff that you have done just to get your hands on the latest/greatest? Wait in line for hours at a premiere of a movie? It's great being the first! Zelo

I am fan of Apple fan too. And just recently I had purchased iphone 3gs. But i never stand in line for that. About ipad 2. I still have no experience of ipad or ipad 2. But i have experience of all iphone versions. And iphone is really great. So i can assume that ipad and ipad 2 must having great features too.

If you took your iPhone and made it MUCH larger you would have an iPad. That is the best way for me to describe it. When I am working on the iPad then go back to my phone I can't believe that I was able to work on a screen that small. I have had iPhones 3g/3gs/4 (and 5 & 6 are coming soon [this summer and Q1 next year respectively]) so Apple is by no means going anywhere! Thanks Zelo

Oh, you are really a loyal fan for Apple products:) If you really like it so much, it is worthy for you. Actually I am not very interested in Apple products. My huband won an Ipod Nano in his company and gave it to me. I felt a little disappointed to it because its feature is not so attractive but it can still sell as high price. It is the same for Ipad 2. I can't imagine that I am willing to wait for several hours to buy it:) Tell me a nice story about Ipad. A man bought an Ipad but returned it next day because his wife didn't allow to it. Then later Apple gave this Ipad to this man and explained: Apply said yes:) It is very nice for Apple to do so. What a lucky man:) I love China

I would not say that I am loyal to any manufacturer but the best tablet out there today is the iPad. Believe me I wanted to buy the Samsung Galaxy but it was both more expensive, smaller, less powerful, and less responsive. It was fun waiting in line with all the other people and a great way to spend a day and of course I have my iPad to show for it. Thanks Zelo

I have also stood in line for things for Christmas gifts. It did not do me an ounce of good though. The line creeped along and then the rest of us were told that they were sold out.

I have a tradition to do Black Friday every year and that is an absolute nightmare although each year since '03 has gotten better and better. If there is something you NEED to have get there early or yes... they will be gone. Thanks. Zelo

Five hours is long but the iPad 2 is great . My personal record is not so important : I queued two hours to get a ticket for a rugby match -- France-Ireland -- two years ago.

I would guess that Ireland won the match? When it comes to Football and Rugby overseas, I am sure that it takes a lot of waiting to get prime tickets! Thanks for the response. Zelo

I wouldn't wait in line for an ipad, or any other technology device, but I would for something else like a car or something. I like to wait and see how the device is going to do and then go get it after there is a lot of information out there on the product. I remember when the iphones first came out, and a lot of people were waiting in lines to get them, but then they were recalled because of problems. That was the first round of iphones though, and I think most of those problems are fixed with later versions, such as the iphone4 and in your case, the ipad2. I hope you enjoy your new ipad!

The iPhone 4 had reception problems to the point that Apple gave away free "bumpers" to users who were getting bad reception. Love the iPad2... STILL waiting for the jailbreak to come out though. Thanks. Zelo

Yes it is. It goes the same with hardwork and patience. Those are essential to get things that you want. I believe that any move that has been made with these is worth it. Its ok to wait in the line for hours just to get the latest coolest phone. Just think, its worth it to wait for years to meet your greatest love isnt it?

Neither IPAD is worth it, in my opinion. Why not opt for a netbook, if you want the highest available mobility, or a laptop if you want a bit bigger monitor. Have a nice day!
