So do you? Every time you wake up in the morning, or whatever time you sleep and wake up everyday... Do you get up right away?
I notice that i don't. Especially if i am not so much in a hurry, i would always have about 5 mins to myself and feel the soft pillow and the comfort of bed before getting up. My mom is the opposite though. She always get up as soon as she open her eyes! I've seen her do this all the time and i even told her if this does not cause her to have a headache.
Well, what about you?

No I rarely do that unless I am already late for work. When my phone alarm goes off, I usually adjust it again for 30 minutes more. I like to linger in bed longer and just cuddle my pillow. Until my alarm goes off again, I still get myself another 5 minutes more in bed before I finally get up and prepare for work.

Hi Chiyosan, I also give 5to 7 mnts. in week days except on sundays when I take alittle longer to wake up as workload is less though mornings on sundays are also quite hectic but it can be managed as there's no hurry to go to work(for my husband as I'm a homemaker)Happy mylotting!!

Hi. chiyosan. Lately, since the time has changed, I have been laying in my bed for an extra few more minutes. As soon as my alarm clock goes off, I will be lazy about getting up right away. I was like your mom once, but not anymore. I am getting so tired of getting up so early in the mornings with my kids. But soon, my break will come though.

I too don't get up right away after I have waken up. I still feel tired and sleepy even after a few hours of sleep. I stay in bed for about 30-60 minutes before actually getting up and ready for the days work. But just like you, I also get up right away when I am in a hurry and is already late from work or whatever it is that I have to do for the day.

Hmmm. It depends on my mood. On my experience, even if I think too much about my goal and I could not sleep at night, I would get up right away early in the morning. I am so afraid that tomorrow, I would not accomplish it anymore, but if I did not think too much and I easily fell asleep at night, the next morning I would stay at bed more than a hour.

Your Mom hops right out of bed as soon as her eyes open because she is already behind with her work. I know this because I am a mom. I remember how it was to have a husband, kids, and a house to take care of while also holding down a full time job. I've been retired a little over 10 years and have just now begun to relax in the morning. I even sometimes go back to sleep for a half hour or so.

Whether I wake up naturally or with an alarm, I usually lie there for a few minutes at least and get a little more wide awake before I climb out of bed. I have tried getting up as soon as the alarm goes off but I feel pretty groggy for a while. Sometimes on the weekend I just lie there and relax for 15 or 20 minutes, it just feels so good knowing I don't have to go to work.

No, I don't get up right away. Like you, I will usually lie in bed for a little while until I am fully awake.
It is not good to get up immediately. When we are asleep, our blood pressure becomes low. If we get up immediately when we open our eyes, we will feel dizzy. So, it is best to laze around for a little while longer before getting out of bed.

I do get right out of bed when I wake up. I make my coffee, shower while it brewing and here we are mylot to get my mind function at full capacity. I'm pretty full capacity is more like empty. I've yet to figure out what full capacity is. I believe, I'm running out of time for that. So I will push on with what little brain cells I have left. Best Wishes!

The moment I wake up, first thing that I do is, check the time and again sleep for 10 minutes more. This actually became my habit, my mother always scolds me for this. It seems that in those 10 minutes I take my whole sleep and I feel fresh only after taking that 10 minutes sleep.

Hi Chiyosan!
It takes atleast 5 mintues for me to wake up completely and to get out of bed, when the alarm disturbs my sleep in early in the morning. My better half is like your mother and she would get up immediately, as soon as the alarm goes.

Hi,friend, you know, since in working days, morning is the busiest time of a whole day, so of course i will get up right away after i wake up. And i will prepare breakfast quickly and if one day, i can't wake up early enough, i couldn't wash dishes before i go to work.
Well, if on weekends or holidays, the situation will be different, sometimes i will lie on bed for extra time after waking up. Sometimes can have another short time of sleep.

Me, I'm doing the same thing I always need a few minutes to stretch and to wait my mom's scream. Lol! My mom is kind a early bird and like your mom she gets up as soon as she's awake and her wake up time usually 4:30am. Weird! By 6am all chores are done, hyperactive mom and hypoactive kids!

It depends on the day, on weekdays during school days, I get up at 4:30am to prepare my kid's breakfast and things. I have to move fast in order to finish all the chores before going to out. But on weekdays and the children is on vacation, I wake up at 6:00 am but I don't get up right away. It would take a lot more minutes before I can get up and eventually I became late at work.

I simply cannot stay in my bed once I have woken up. No amount of trying to get back to sleep helps, and I feel restless from the moment I stop sleeping, so I never have any choice but to heave myself from my pit and do something to get my waking self back on track. I have thought a few times that a lie-in would be nice, but I just never manage it, Mind too active, once awake. Thats life.

I wake up, but usually switch the TV (I sleep w/ TV on) around 7 to Sopranos on A&E. I still lay and am half asleep until my boyfriend comes home around 8. It's hard for me to totally wake up unless we have to go shopping or do something productive.
